Lovely place ,a story of love ,romance ,work and love for mankind .the home is beautiful and the tribute to Booker T and RosenWald is very engaging.

Grounds were nice and outdoor cabins are great exhibits. Enjoyed the Blacksmith area. Unfortunately, the actual house was disappointing...not because of the house, but the impartial docent. We went there as a party of 7 expecting to join a group for a tour, but walked in and just stared at the docent reading a book. Asked about a tour and she said "sure I guess so" and then started giving a tour of one room, and then left us when the next group came in the door. Then we found CD players and asked if we could take an audio tour, she said, "sure, if they work". Just bizarre.

Outstanding view of Huntsville and very scenic. Lots of neat history and old school building structure. New facility is very nice and is an excellent location for special events.

Of you're in to history, this is a cool place, and not so much for the mansion. The mansion was interesting, but it was the other side of the property that held my attention where you can see how people lived before the industrial revolution.

This is a great place to take your kids to explore a little farm life history. Our kids LOVED the gold rush exhibit!! They learned a ton about this period of history while doing tons of hands on activities. The museum grounds are beautiful. We all enjoyed the views of Huntsville from the mountain top. Hoped to do some hiking trails, but the kids were pooped. Money well spent!
