This is not a first time visit. As matter of fact, I've been here a few times before with better results, but this time I'm sad to say was lackluster and I really struggled to give an average grade. The table is wasn't set, I had to get pepper from another table, and we were informed that if we wanted a pasta dish, it would take 15-20 minutes. Come on...I know you can do better.

Being raised in the northeast, I certainly miss the great tasting Italian food. This restaurant offers many of my favorite dishes from my Long Island, N.Y. days of youth. I had the baked Ziti, it was delicious and authentic to the original recipie. My wife tried the spinach ravioli was very pleased with the taste. This quaint restaurant is in the process of getting its license to serve alcoholic beverages, so we plan to return once this license is granted so we can try some more dishes with good wine.

My Mom and I had lunch at the original location. We walked in & were not sure it was open, as it was empty. A lady sat in corner on her tablet and seemed bothered with our presence. We had to ask her if they were open and if we could sit. She never volunteered any info. She motioned we come to register where she said you want the special? We, still confused, said I guess so. We were asked to pay before we were served. I again asked if we could sit to have our meal. She gave us a cup that we self-served our drink. After a decent wait, a man came out of back and sat two plates of spaghetti in front of us. No salad. He noticed we had nothing on table, so went back and brought out a basket of rolls. (that were hard) The lady went back to her corner and tablet right after taking our money at register. No one ever checked on us or asked if we were ok. The spaghetti special was just ok. So self served drink, hard rolls and spaghetti for $6.99.

This place is like the many restaurants that were featured in "Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey." The unenthusiastic owners are not Italian and have no idea how to make even decent Italian food. It's all frozen and reheated (including the dinner rolls) and it's a real shame that this dump is the only option for Italian food in Enterprise. If they had any competition whatsoever, they'd be forever out of business. We've been here on two occasions assuming that maybe we were there on an off day the first time. Well, turns out, it's just the way it is at Milano's. The son of the owner always wears his hat backwards, and always appears annoyed at the arrival of a new guest. He waited on us and was awful. Mumbles continuously with that hat on backwards that you want to smack off his head. There are no apologies for the many mistakes they make and there appears to be no system for customer service. Somehow, they have a new location right across from the original location and on a Friday night visit there, the experience was equally terrible. We were the only table sat at around 6:30 on a Friday night. That should have been a red flag and a sign to turn around and go somewhere else right then and there. Instead, we gave them another chance only to be disappointed yet again. If you have one table in your restaurant and they have to wait for new rolls, a decent portion of Ranch for the salad and refills, you have problems! Charging extra for these items with the exception of the refills is beyond disrespectful to your customer.

If, for some reason, you care to give Milano's a try despite this fair warning, good luck to you. I hope you don't:
-get treated like you're a bother when you walk in (not get told to "sit wherever").
-get served previously frozen/pre-made rolls and frozen/reheated chicken.
-have to wait for your meal forever.
-get charged extra for ranch and rolls (find it on your receipt labeled as "Custom Charge")
-get your refills in a timely manner.
-watery spaghetti noodles.

Listen, if you want decent Italian food, get a Stouffer's meal and save your money. You'll save a lot and you'll get a better meal without the frustration.
If you're the owners of Milano's and you're reading this, don't reply, but instead, fix your place. Greet your customers in a professional way. Seat them with a smile. Pick one server to serve them entirely. Fix the many spelling mistakes on your menu.Tell your son to take off that *% HAT!! And figure out how to make fresh Italian food with fresh ingredients. You have a lot of potential. If you're burned out, and your heart's no longer in it, lock the doors and be done already.

My husband and I were in the mood for some Italian food, not many choices in Enterprise. We settled in at the new restaurant only to find out we couldn't get a glass of wine where we were, but could across the street at the original location. We should have done that, but it seemed like too much trouble so we stayed. The salads we were served had water in the bottom of the plate. I had the baked ziti which had water at the bottom and the pasta was mushy. My hubby had the veal parmesean and was fairly satisfied. The rolls were tasty. He said the tiramisu was good, just a strange texture, as he said it seemed like it was thawing out from being frozen. Overall, I know we won't go back. Just too many things wrong. Is it a transition problem? I don't know, won't find out.
