Hotel Lindsay is a good hotel with prime location in the heart of the city (Near new Market). It has comfortable rooms with quiet surroundings. Renovation at the site was a dampner though. It is also priced a bit matched to services

This is a suprisingly nice hotel in a bustling tourist district of Kolkata beset by thick skinned touts and traffic. Nonetheless, it's value for money. THe smallish rooms are very clean and pleasant. Elevators are old and rickety but operated by cheerful men. Lobby service is efficient if a little overwhelmed sometimes. Wifi was free during my stay. The highlight is definitely the rooftop bar and restaurant which is looks out over central Kolkata and is seething with activity whenever the weather is suitable. Arrive early and get a seat by the railing.

Stayed for a few days on official trip. Though it is located in the hub of activity, yet the stay leaves a bad stay. Dingy hotel with cramped rooms, unhygenic surroundings, would not stay there. The hotel is a high rise and all the rooms, lobby etc seem to have a cramped look.
However, the rooftop hotel has a good ambience. The food is okay though it has good variety of fish etc. The veg menu is very limited and choosing is difficult.

Some rooms are without a single ventilation which cause unpleasing odor. Towels keeping in the bath rooms are of Low Quality and worn out. Most of staff particularly working in Blue Beyond restaurant of the hotel are just for themselves. They are so noisy, cranky and their body languages are somewhat irritating and they still need to be more professional in a decent way. The way how the Bell Boy in his middle age expecting Tips from guests is not worse than a Street Robber.

Well, probably the only hotel with such a slender shape as this. This tall tower is located in theheart of the city but probably it itself lacks a heart itself in treating its guest. It needs to do a lot on the hospitality front itself. Although cheaper than some other hotels of repute located in Esplanade, still I wont call it a value for money.

Most of the rooms are not good. People also are rude. No modern amenities but food is ok.
