Stayed here for 2 nights with family after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. The choice of booking this property did not go wrong at all.
I should say that the hospitality and service of the hotel is at par excellence. There are ample and very efficient team of staff to help one out, either for room service or at the restaurant. Food is tasty. There is a pianist at the main restaurant.
The hotel is at the hilltop so it is away from the hustle n bustle. The deluxe rooms are comfortable enough for 2 ppl, with a third person or child it becomes a little tight. The property has a very old English world charm. Our stay will be memorable coz of excellent service.
My suggestion is that during peak season, the hotel should provide some kind of activity, like bonfire or games, which would be appreciated by all guests as in hill stations there is nothing much to do in evening time.

The amazing view of Kanchonjongha is the best part of the hotel. If you are a nature lover and want to stay away from the crowd, this place is ideal. The view from our bed was surreal. Service was good too.

The sleep quality was not that good. The bed linens are quite old. Breakfast spread can be improved. For the price, I expected better amenities. It’s such a beautiful property, the comfort level and food can really make a difference

We arrived late in the day to Cedar Inn. Much to our surprise, the room was cozy and so quaint. The door opened to a small sitting room with a fireplace and chairs. Nice bright light over the chairs to read with is hard to come by in most Indian hotels. The next room had a place for luggage and tea kettle. The bedroom was warmly decorated. The bathrooms where modern. Each room was vey clean with lots of windows. I love it.
We ordered room service for dinner. It came very quickly and was hot (I'm bit picky about food being the proper temperature). The food was tasty. Server was very friendly.
In the morning, the view was spectacular of the mountains. The whole hotel was fun to wander around. I loved all the wood work, the floors are amazing being solid and lovely. I felt like I was in a historic building. Breakfast was served, made to order. Great food and service in the morning too. We only booked one night, wish it was for a longer stay. The manager took time to speak to us about the hotel. He arranged a car to another hotel ( we booked another beforehand due to travel plans). Great service and hotel. Would recommend to others who are looking for old world charm.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view, you can lay in bed and see Mt.K.
