I travelled to Jaipur with family this weekend for a short break and stayed here for a day. The hotel is super grand and will definitely make you feel royal. The entry itself is welcoming and full of splendour and the lobby is like a palace. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Though the room had a fancy concept of a Jharokha, it was slightly small if you are travelling with family. The bathroom too was congested and lacked the luxury, the hand shower kept falling from its position and the flush did not work well. The food was tasty but the choice was limited. There was a buffet for breakfast and dinner but it was not lavish and lacked variety that you would expect from a luxury hotel of this rating. We had to go out for the meals after trying once. The property is beautiful and huge and they could do so much more to make it enjoyable. There are no entertainment programs, shopping arcades, to make it lively in the evenings. This may be the reason why there were no foreigners staying in the hotel. They could have some cultural dances/ programs in the evenings and with this kind of space some fares etc to make it fully entertaining. The key aspect for a hotel should be excellent guest experience through great food, room stay and entertainment, great ambience is essential but not enough.
