I stayed here with wife and son in Elegant room this weekend. The exterior look and approach from gate is very overwhelming. The architecture is authentic Haveli architecture of Rajasthan and the whole hotel from outside is like a proper palace. However, the staff although very friendly, lacks good training which you would see in branded international chain hotels. I could not locate a single lady staff in the entire hotel ! All men makes it look very odd. A lot of money is spent on furniture and intricate sculptures but again the design lacks creativity. The room is fairly spacious but the toilets are simply bad. No carpets in the hotel ! The SPA is awful ! The food quality is very good. Overall a mixed reaction. If some international chain runs it in future, it can become a fairly great hotel. A lot of good things and a few bad one makes it an average property which is overpriced.

Room tip: Take the corner rooms.

We were here for a one night stay, nice and tidy place with lovely statues, paintings and fusion art. The Pool and spa is a wonderful experience !

The food quality at the restaurant was very good however service and downtime could be improved on

The rooms are comfortable and compact. Its on the out skirts of Jaipur so the city is a good 30-40 minute drive away !

Room tip: pool facing rooms

It was an excellent property. We enjoyed the stay here although the stay was short still we were greeted warmly and taken good care by the staff of Shiv Vilas Resort. We also wish to thank Mr Sidharth and Mr, Ankur for showing their affection towards us. The whole staff is very nice and cooperative. The dinner was lovely but in breakfast sweet dish was missing. Altogether it was worth visiting the property.

Room tip: Rooms are comfortable ,view from the windows is good

Very good hotel, beautifully done. Great welcome at arrival and rest of the stay was equally pleasant. Excellent food at the restaurant - we specially relished the mutton that we had there. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool a lot and we spent some good time in Jacuzzi with friends. I learnt that the owner lives in Italy and the architecture had distinct Italian touch - very well done. Service in the restaurant can be a bit better.

I travelled to Jaipur with family this weekend for a short break and stayed here for a day. The hotel is super grand and will definitely make you feel royal. The entry itself is welcoming and full of splendour and the lobby is like a palace. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Though the room had a fancy concept of a Jharokha, it was slightly small if you are travelling with family. The bathroom too was congested and lacked the luxury, the hand shower kept falling from its position and the flush did not work well. The food was tasty but the choice was limited. There was a buffet for breakfast and dinner but it was not lavish and lacked variety that you would expect from a luxury hotel of this rating. We had to go out for the meals after trying once. The property is beautiful and huge and they could do so much more to make it enjoyable. There are no entertainment programs, shopping arcades, to make it lively in the evenings. This may be the reason why there were no foreigners staying in the hotel. They could have some cultural dances/ programs in the evenings and with this kind of space some fares etc to make it fully entertaining. The key aspect for a hotel should be excellent guest experience through great food, room stay and entertainment, great ambience is essential but not enough.
