“City Palace Jaipur”
Reviewed 18 September 2012

Expensive Tickets but worth a visit, lots of Royal stuffto view, shopping is definitely very expensive specially for foreigners... but great stuff to see, there is a Buggy house, an ammunition house, a museum with Portraits and stories, royal medals dresses and thrones to be see mostly in silver... one 3d painting also with its eyes looking at you from every corner of the room if you make eye contact

the city of Jaipur cant be expressed by words. It was so beautiful that if anyone visits it will want to stay there for a long time. The Pink city was very much attractive. The shopping malls, roads, restaurants and everything there was nothing but awesome.

“And the king lives here, even today.”
Reviewed 13 September 2012

Simply majestic. Entry prices and photograhy charges are higher compared to the other heritage sites in Jaipur. The reason for that is the fund goes directly to the royal coffer and used for maintenance. There are two silver jars each weighing 2 tonnes and was used by the king to store the holy water from Ganga (river Ganges). Also there are four gates which are dedicated to each of the seasons. There are also a few museums located inside this grand building. Please have a guide, this will help you immensely. This will take you around 1 to 1.5 hours to visit the entire facilily. Even the palace where the king lives till date is avavilable to the public for some extra cost (Rs 2000/- per person) although I did not go for the same.
