“Nice haveli”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2012

We were picked up at the airport by the hotel taxi and straightaways taken to the haveli on the outskirts of the city. It has a nice garden with the hotel backing it up. The place was reasonably clean and the room were well done up .We stayed for two nights and hired the car provided by the hotel for the city sight seeing .Only problem was the huge dog and I really had to be careful going in or out of the place as he was left loose all the time though the staff did tell us that he did not bite otherwise an OK stay .

Dear Sirs,
Our apologies for the inconvenience you were put to because of our pet & Mascot Simba. He was a guardian to all the young guests, who stayed with us and enjoyed playing with him. Unfortunately, he parted with us because of his age and illness in end February. We will miss him. We thank you for choosing to stay at the Royal Heritage Haveli during your stay here in Jaipur.

This excellent hotel was our first resting place in a 2 week tour of India... and proved to be one of the highlights of our holiday... Our suite was on the first floor and was very comfortable and spacious with its own balcony. One of the key measures by which we rate a hotel is the bathroom.. and this hotel did not disappoint... wonderful shower, good towels and toiletries. The large bed was very comfortable with good linen and pillows. (see photos)

Mr Singh, the owner and our host, was present every evening encouraging his guests to relax and interact around the welcoming firepit. He provided an open FULL bar. We spent 3 very sociable evenings here and met some lovely people who were also lucky enough to stay.

The restaurant was very good - the food was of a high standard for all meals - and all the staff were friendly and considerate.

We would certainly return to visit this elegant and special hotel which provided a quiet haven in such a busy place, and we would not hesitate to highly recommend it to future travellers.

Room Tip: All the rooms were of a high standard, but the first floor suite with balcony is a winner.

The hotel is really nicely laid out and you totally get the feeling that you are being invited into someones home.

The dinner and breakfast laid on is incredible, we wished we had eaten here on our second night too. The drinks round the fire and sharing stories with other guests was a great way to while away the evening.

We were in a room in the new block and these are not as nice as the main building. On arrival the satff did not know how to turn the lights on, or the hot water and it smelt of paint as if the build had only just been completed. There was a good 15 minutes of activity before we could settle into our room, after a long day's travelling. Our friends staying in the main building had a much nicer room with beautiful touches. If we had been in this room we would have scored a 5.

Room Tip: Request a room in the main building

Dear Sir & Maam,
Thank you for your review.
We had to carry out some repair on the bathroom wall, and had that repainted, hence the smell. Being a old Heritage structure, we at times get caught in a situation beyond our control, and in a short span of time have to find a solution.
I do appreciate your making the effort of writing the review for us. Our apologies for the inconvenience, once again. . Thanking you & with regards.

This is a special hotel. My friend and I got a huge second-floor suite that's so magnificent, elegant and huge, we decided to stay one more night. The hotel owner is a charming host. Every evening he set up a fire and a FULL bar for guests to sit around and exchange travel tips. The complimentary breakfast is amazing. I had the best wholewheat bread in my life. We had dinner for both nights that they were quite different but equally tasty. I'd recommend this hotel to my friends.

It is a 15 minutes ride with a TukTuk to the city centre, but when you close the noise of Jaipur city behind the big hotel entry, you are in a quiet and beautiful place. Lovely room, very friendly staff, and maybe the most important the very impressive host/manager/owner. He is a great and tall man. He will arrange everything for you. We liked the aperitif before dinner: where all guests joined at the fire and we could exchange the do's and don'ts of the city. We had wonderful good dinners and breakfast as well.
