“a decent place to sat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2012

My wife 5 year old daughter and i checked in for a weekend. We drove from Delhi. The room and hotel was nice. Breakfast is decent but was surprised they didn't serve bacon or sauges etc. But not bad. The sleep quality was good. The pool is on the roof and tiny but ok for cooling off except in the hot summer the area arounnd the pool gets so hot you could almost burn your feet but in the water it was nice, The hotel had just opened but it is a place i would go back to. And it has one of the happening discos of Jaipur located in the ground floor and there was a huge crowd outside waiting to get in. On the downside the music was so loud that we could hear it in our room.

Room Tip: stay away from the disco especially if you are there on the weekend.

Just got back from a "Smartours Incredible India" trip, and the hotel they booked in Jaipur was The Fern.....wow....superswanky! The beds were yummy, and the overall ambiance was way more than we expected. The drawbacks were location, it's a hike or a long "camel ride" to town, and they have a crazy discotech, so make sure you ask for a room high up. The breakfast buffet was good, the dinner buffet was ok....no real walking options, and you look out at a sea of construction, and lots of garbage, but the view from the rooftop pool is pretty sweet, and the airport isn't far. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The wifi was not available, and kind of pricey.

Room Tip: Get a room up high away from the disco!

The hotel is well secured, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. We checked in at 9:30 pm, went to our room, and wanted to see the pool. They say it closes at 10, but when we got up to the spa to look, they had it all closed up, and with distain, they turned on the lights and followed us around while we looked. The room are okay, but no one will go out of their way to help you. We then wanted to take a walk in the area, but they told us that they lock up the grounds at 10:00 pm, locked the gates, and we should not and could not walk out of the property. So, you get the drift, not for us to be there. Breakfast was good, but no, not again.

All around good hotel. Great staff, very nicely decorated rooms... all wood and marble. Breakfast was definitely above average. On the downside, the rooftop pool was out of service.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We were charged more for a room here, than at a real 5-star hotel in Delhi and Agra (Taj group and ITC group)! I was astounded that they could charge such high rates and provide 3 star service! In addition to being gouged on the 'in-house' taxi prices for a pick from the train station, the room staff were ill-trained. They would only speak to my husband and ignored the fact I was also in the room. The bell-hops and anyone coming to room would linger for a tip (which their service did not merit). Their '24 hour' business center is someone's office where you take over the desk at the entryway to a staff room. Their 'Club Room' is a room beneath a disco! The thumping and loud music starts at 6:30pm and apparently goes on until the wee hours of the morning. On the upside, the restaurant and buffet breakfast is good, and the front desk people can be accommodating, if you complain. We would not stay here again and I do not recommend it to anyone else. I think there is a Radisson nearby if you need to stay near the airport.
