“Good ambience and juke box”
Reviewed 3 July 2012

fantastic location, whether you are done with sightseeing or wanting to chill out on a weekend, this is the ideal place. Serves only beer and wine which is fine. Choice of food is also plenty. Service is good even though the place is very crowded

“Best place in Colaba”
Reviewed 2 July 2012

Its the best place in Colaba for beer with some nice snacks and a jukebox! I definitely visit this place if I am in that part of town. Although the staff could be a bit friendlier, I still love this place! :)

“Awesome place to chillax”
Reviewed 29 June 2012

This place is not for someone who hates the crowd. It is a small place with a jukebox. You get to choose your song for Rs 10 for which you get tokens.

Definitely have beer. My personal favorite is the Ham and Cheese sandwich, Garlic Bread with Cheese. The fish and chips is also good though they deep fried it too much for my taste.

“An alternative to Leopold Cafe & Bar”
Reviewed 28 June 2012

In 46 degrees heat we needed some A/C and fell across this really fun cafe. Crowded noisy and really good value opt for the rear room with A/C which is less noisy but not by much. The crunchy chicken and beef with fried onion rings is a must. Kingfisher on tap is a bonus as is the T shirts at R350 if you need a shirt change!

“For want of a better cliche”
Reviewed 20 June 2012

Although maybe not impossible it is certainly difficult to discuss Mondegar without the use of the word 'funky' The music on the auld American style juke box, the cartoon characters of no one in particular decorating the walls, the table mat menus the bathrooms without the ample AC used within the rest of the cafe - funky.

The (table mat) menu was ample with a good selection of Indian (veg & non-veg) European and American snacks and treats. The mix of food we had was good the wait staff were always on hand for additional beer or fizzy pop and it didn't seem to matter that each and every table was almost adjoined, creating little room for manoeuvre, as this fitted in perfectly with the overall funky theme.
