The place is spectacular. The Terminus has great view of fast pace of Mumbai. It even has a selfie point near the Municipalty Building. The place is a melting pot. The interior is beautyful.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) is in the heart of Mumbai from where 2 lines of local trains (Harbour Line & Central Line) start. The Harbour Line Trains run from CSMT to Panvel & CSMT to Andheri. The Central Line of Railway runs from CSMT to Thane, Kasara, Karjat. These are the local trains. Apart from these, a lot of trains go out of Mumbai also from this Terminus.
This station building was built under the British rule - it is magnificent. It is lit up at night and is a very popular tourist spot.
CSMT is not air-conditioned. Hence it gets very hot during daytime.
The station is situated right opposite McDonald's.
It is extremely crowded during peak times (Morning 8.30am to 10.30am & Evening 6pm to 8.30pm).
If you stay in the Harbour or Central Line, then you need to come to CSMT station if you have to go to Fort/Nariman Point/Churchgate/Colaba/Horniman Circle.

What a monument . The station building is designed in the High Victorian Gothic style of architecture. The design is intricate and beautiful .It is UNESCO World Heritage monument.
I took photographs in the evening and late night during Diwali across CST station restaurant named Aram which offers good view for photography.
This monument is photographer's delight.

Beautiful and impressive building! Worth a short stop on your way to or from some other sights. The government building next to it is also nice.

Done by Britishers and maintained by Railways, is a spot in Mumbai which every outsider wishes to see. Now a viewing platform has been made to see this as well as Municipal Corporation Building which are more than 100 years old.

We have no problems taking the commuter trains in 2018. Less scary than pictures from 10 years ago would have you believe. But do wait until the train comes to a complete stop to deboard, unless you're sure you're a local. Obviously don't ride on the roof or trains, though I've never seen that in Mumbai in six years...
