Reviewed 10 July 2012

What else you need in your leisure; fun with your friends and family !!! There are lot of pubs, bars and restaurants which can offer you the best you need.

Since I am living in Mumbai itself, therefore I am fortunate that I can visit this place at my wish...Such places are the building blocks of this "CITY OF DREAM"...

“Colaba - City of Dreams in Mumbai”
Reviewed 3 July 2012

The name Colaba, comes from Kolabhat, a word in the language of Kolis, the indigenous inhabitants of the islands, before the arrival of Portuguese.[2] The area that is now Colaba was originally a region consisting of two islands: Colaba and Little Colaba (or Old Woman's Island). The island of Colaba was one of the Seven islands of Bombay ruled by the Portuguese.
The Bombay City Improvement Trust reclaimed around 90,000 square yards (75,000 m2) on the western shore of Colaba. Eminent citizens of Mumbai, such as Sir Pherozeshah Mehta, opposed the work, fearing that the reclamation would depress prices of land. However, the reclamation work continued and was completed in 1905. There was no fall in the land prices. In 1906, a seafront road with a raised sea-side promenade was completed, and named as "Cuffe Parade" after T. W. Cuffe of the Trust.

“Be Stree Smart”
Reviewed 3 July 2012

Colaba, all of it, well, most of it at least, is made up of old gothic style buildings from the British Era, and the sights are simply beautiful. One look and you are instanly transformed to another country all together, and then instantly reminded that this, THIS is what Mumbai was originally meant to look like. Sigh! If only all of the city could have the same look and feel about it. Colaba causeway has so much to do, from early morning walks and day time shopping post a breakfast or a brunch, to a very eleborate lunch at the Taj or so many other places that you could find yourself in. Stay away from the crowded shopping streets by going for a movie, visiting the Jehangir Art Gallery or stepping in at the Musuem, or simply join the bandwaggon and have a drink or two cafe Mondegard or leopolds amongst the many places that you can choose from.
