We're a family of 3 and we traveled to Mumbai with some family work, decided to stay at this hotel as it came highly recommended by a few friends in Mumbai. I must say, lived up to the good reviews heard about it. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and had arranged everything over the phone/email before arrival at Mumbai. Airport pickup was arranged and the distance of the hotel from the hotel is a very good plus point.
Being from the Hospitality Industry and from the Front Office, I must add that their front office was very efficient and professional in handling all our request for taxi arrangements and local information. Must say a big Thank you to the Front office staff and in particular 2 front office assistants, Mahesh Kocherakar and Victoria D'Souza, who made sure everything went smooth and took attention to every little detail.
The in house restaurant has a wonderful ambiance and the quality of food is excellent.
Recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay near the airport for a reasonable rate with good food and efficient and professional service.

Room Tip: ask for the executive room as they have those massage chairs and that is a brilliant stress buster.

Had the pleasure of staying for a night and it was a good choice. A good and compact room with all amenities that are necessary for the guests. I stayed here singe on 30th May 2012 and would want to stay yet again. Being very close to the International / Domestic Airport, the room was very clean and well maintained. Had nice complementary breakfast the other day. The restaurant from the front side on the Mezzanine looked frequented by many locals but the food and alcohol served were still to remember. The biggest surprise in the room was a massage chair and due to tiredness, i rarely used but enjoyed in it. Overall a good and convenient hotel for any kind of visitors to this commercial capital of India.

Room Tip: Ask if massage chair is provided at the room !

This hotel has somehow not marketed itself very aggressively and hence it is not so popular, but i think they will soon make up for it by the word of mouth publicity that they seem to be able to generate through satisfied customers. The stay is pleasurable, location is good if you have to travel to your office in the santacruz - goregaon suburbs, and the food is just awesome. If i am not mistaken quite a few guests from courtyard by marriott (100 meters away) come here to have food and drinks.

I spend around 3-4 month year year in Mumbai for business. Among Mumbai's many wonderful hotels, over the years I have stayed at ITC, Renaissance, Holiday Inn, Hilton, Westin, and others. Around 6 month ago I discovered Sai Palace and have since stayed there on three consecutive trips. While the hotel may not be as grand as Renaissance or Hilton (although it is an extremely nice small boutique hotel), here are the top reasons why I love Sai Palace:

1) It is sort of like the Cheers (for all you Westerners who remember the classic 1980s TV sitcom) -- The place to go where everybody knows your name. As often as I have stayed at places like Westin, they would never learn my name. It's as if I were a stranger every time I came. At Sai Palace, at least I can feel at home even though I am 12,000 miles away from California.

2) The staff is as friendly, accommodating, and efficient as can be. Room service arrives in 10-15 minutes. Housekeeping arrives in 2 minutes. Luggage assistance arrives in 1 minute. If there is something that you are unhappy with, the staff is always quick to fix it. (As for Richard. He can solve any problem.)

3) So many times in my life I have selected hotels based on the photos and been disappointed to find out that they had invested in a good photographer rather than in the hotel itself. In the case of Sai Palace, rest assured that the rooms are as nice as they appear in the Trip Advisor photos.

4) Location is unbeatable. Right in the center of Mumbai, only minutes walking distance to Andheri station and minutes drive from the airport. And if you want some variety in fine dining, you can always hop over to one of the other many luxury hotels in the area.

5) The price is just right without sacrificing any comforts from home. And as compared to the many other hotels in the area, at Sai Palace you will always feel like you got more than you paid for

I don't often take the time to write such reviews. But in this case I felt compelled to let fellow travelers know that there exists a wonderful alternative to the typical, expensive household name properties such as Hilton and Renaissance.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing out the back side of the hotel. Rooms facing the back side are much quietier...
