“Great Experience”
Reviewed 13 March 2012

I have to admit the rooms were great though the bathroom could do with a little makeover. The service was excellent and the overall stay at the hotel was very pleasant. And I would recommend this hotel for anyone at anytime.

Searching hotels in Mumbai for short stays can be quite a hassle, as they are overrated and not up to the standards which are being charged. However, I found this hotel within reasonable price for the 2 nights I was going to spend therei. Rooms were average clean, spacious, roofgarden very nice with good breakfast and service.
The location is the best! It's just around the corner from Chatrapati Shivaji Railway Station, formerly named Victoria Terminus, where trains from all over India arrive. It's an excelent solution for travelers who need to arrive Mumbai by train before flying off to their home destinations in the West and get to see some of the sightseeing places right in the heart of this magnificent city.
It's also near the Gateway of India and from there one can take little boats to visit the Elephanta Caves.

May 2011 i arrived at this hotel late night with three children at around 11 pm , i had booked the hotel in advance inclusive of all taxes, when we arrived at the hotel the manager at the reception mentioned to us that we need to pay taxes extra even-though the website mentioned that the amount charged was all inclusive, i had a literal fight with the manager..
at the end of the day i did not pay extra tax....but it was really a bad experience.....the staff at the reception is really bad especially at night..you can't trust these unprofessional guys...i advise you guys to go for some other hotels..

Location of Hotel is excellent . The rooms are decent .The breakfast provided is substandard and not worth go for . Staff is supportive. It is good choice to go for superior room the deluxe room is small while the executive is good. The hotel is not flexible in case of guest relations

This is a pretty basic hotel in a decent location. It's in the Fort area, very close walking distance to Victoria Terminus and it's right by the GPO so you have a good landmark to tell the taxi drivers b/c everyone knows how to get to the GPO. There is an internet cafe a few doors down (the hotel itself has no internet or wi-fi service which was a bit disappointing). The breakfast (included in the price) was decent. You have your choice of american breakfast (mainly cereals and toast), an indian food buffet, and fresh dosas/omelets made on the grill. The breakfast was also located on the rooftop which was nice. It's a basic hotel with no major complaints, but I wouldn't recommend it for what you get for the price. There are hotels in the Colaba area (Hotel Diplomat and Suba Palace for example) that do not cost that much more and are better located for bars/restaurants and tourist spots. If those hadn't been already full, I would have preferred to stay there. Also, the service level was poor (there was an older indian woman working in reception who was consistently rude and acted like she was doing us a "favor" by helping us). And while the room itself was clean, the bathroom was not, with mold growing all over the shower curtain. Considering that this was not a very cheap hotel.. there are better deals out there if you can book early enough.. Also note, this is the same hotel as Railway Hotel which has a separate listing in Trip Advisor..
