We take my grandmother here often because she loves the tandoor crabs, stuffed fish fry, mussels.. all of these are really delicious.

If one wants to try out the local Maharashtrian cuisine and that too seafood style, this is the place to go. Its now become into a chain with many outlets, so choose whats convenient to you. Try the local variety of fish or crabs which the server will get on to your table to explain and choose from. This place is fairly priced, however the quality and hygiene seems perfect.

Had been to this quaint little joint in the residential hub of Parle last week with some overseas guests after much deliberation-a couple of hours of sheer bliss that followed proved that we were not wrong about our choice. The restaurant specialises in sea food prepared in coastal Maharashtrian style and all the dishes that we sampled were delectable. The seating arrangement is basic and kind of congested, however all this is made up with the food. We sampled the bombil fry, giant crab butter garlic, stuffed pomfret, red snapper curry as well as prawn sukka-every thing was lapped up to the last morsel by my overseas guests which sums up the value. The ultra soft neer dosha as accompaniment was divine. I am willing to travel the distance for the freshness of the catch as well as the wonderful taste..once you sample it I am sure you will too...

I think it was called "Pomfret Koshimbhir" - absolutely out of this world - highly recommended. Other items like Bombay Duck and Kane Fish were also good preparations, but the highlight of the evening was Pomfret Koshimbhir
