“Good property, good food, great service - Very good experience overall”
Reviewed 20 January 2012

We (two families with 3 kids) stayed for 2 nights - 3 days. Property is very good and well maintained. The location is close to the town and places like Zoo, Chamundi Hills and the place are easily reachable.

The hotel is in a quiet place, but no proximity to lake/river etc. So, don't expect too much natural beauty around. They have a man made waterbody, it has fountains etc.

Rooms are big enough to accommodate a nuclear family. Kept neat and clean. But, the hotel is very reluctant to give first floor rooms. Rooms in first floor have much better view. Ground floor rooms are vanerable to crap thrown from first floor. So, won't advice ground floor.

Has good facilities like indoor games, gym, swimming pool etc. There is an open air theater too. Some beautiful birds around. But, no entertainment to keep the kids engaged. So, plan a lot of site seeting outside to avoid boredom. The TVs in the room are average (old CRT TVS, not flat ones), the cable service was of poor quality.

Food was great. So, was the room service. The frontdesk, room service and housekeeping are good. The room keys (electronic cards) gave trouble a couple of times but frontdesk promptly replaced the keys.

Overall a very good experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who plan a peaceful holiday in Mysore and has plans to cover attractions in the city.

Cheers,

Room Tip: First floor rooms prefered.

WIndflower, Mysore was a great find in Mysore. We stayed for 2 nights. The rooms are nice and well maintained. The staff is pretty friendly. The location of the hotel is close to the attractions like the mysore zoo and palace. food is also good in the hotel.

Room Tip: The studio rooms are on the 1st level- so if its an aged person, they might find it difficult to go...

after a long search i finally narrowed down on this hotel and i can assure you that it wasn't a wrong choice.
convineintly located but still a quite serene atmosphere is what best describes this place.
as you enter the reception/lobby area you are greeted by the lovely 'Rosie"! don't get any wrong ideas!! I'm referring to the parrot that sits in the reception!
the rooms are extreme comfortable. we had booked two studio apartments. the bathrooms, cleanliness, service is really really good. if you want just one room don't go for the ones on ground level as the people above you through crap through their windows and it ends up on your balcony and lawn ruining it!

3 star is probably a good description of this venue. I do stay at some posh places though just to give some perspective. Not great for old folks as the beds are on a pedestal. Food good although breakfast was chilly in the morning. Massages for the kids was fun but adult massages were ok, I am not a massage fanatic unlike some of my friends. very frienDly service. I wouldn't venture back there , but good for a weekend trip.

We welcomed 2012 at the Wind Flower Mysore with our friends and family. Had booked 8 studio rooms.
It is located about 15 mins drive from the station and close to the Zoo and the all new Mall of Mysore and has the race course near by as well.
Calm , quiet well designed spacious rooms and a really spacious adjoining bath ( a bit dated though). Nothing to complain about, except that attention to detail and finishing was glaringly lacking. Bath mats and towels had a soiled look . The regular tea /coffee making facility available in the rooms. Added bonus was a great view of the Chamundi hills and a balcony for each room overlooking the water strip in the middle.
Breakfast at the olive garden restaurant was good .
The New Year party was a steal for the price we paid. Had an amazing spread and good entertainment.
Spa facilities and treatment were good too. Kids would love the rock pool .
A good resort for families and good value for money.

Room Tip: The ordinary studio rooms are better and situated on the first level.
