“Awesome experience. Great place.”
Reviewed 22 March 2012

We’ve had amazing week at IVAC. It was just enough time to do a rejuvenation package. . During my planning of a three week trip to India. I knew I wanted to experience an Ayurveda Spa for the last week. I had specific requirements : an authentic Indian environment yet clean to satisfy our westernized standards. There were many in Kerala. But IVAC was highly recommended by an author who specialized in holistic medicine. What a great choice Indus Valley was! We were upgraded to a cottage, spacious, charming and very clean. The treatments were awesome! I am an esthetician at a very upscale spa in the US and I am not easily impressed. Indus Valley exceeded all of my expectations. The staff who did the treatments were very knowledgable and professional,. The unique Ayurveda treatment themselves were amazing new experiences ! The Ayurveda food… ahhh that food… delicious! All vegetarian and organic, grown on the property. Not too spicy. Unbelievably tasty deserts and fruits. Service was perfect. After a couple of days the servers learned our regular special request. Like fresh lemon to squeeze over the papaya or yogurt for our muesli . Eventually we did not have to ask for things they were presented upon our arrival.

We met so many wonderful people from all around the world. I hope one day I will be able to go back .Next time it definitely will be for at the very least 10 days.

Gulnaz.

It's a great place for all nature loving people. The facilities over-there are amazing. People are very cordial and polite. The best place on the earth for peace of mind. The overall package and facilities provided by them is value for money. Rooms are really nice, luxurious and clean..

I followed up to IVAC in Feb 2012 after last visit of September 2011. This time I spent 2 weeks. Stayed in Cottage 401 - which I will recommend as the best. The program set for me by Dr Veena was good. Focus was on Virechana. I did pretty well of loosing 6 kgs of wait and an inch of the belly. More than weight loss I really felt rejuvinated. The meditation and Yoga sessions were new to me and I really enjoyed and got benefited. Dr Veena's session to some of us on "Ayurveda" was interesting too.

Overall the stay was good. I would suggest that the resort improves more on internal coordination, housekeeping and bring more professionalism that one would expect for the price you pay!

Room Tip: Take Cottage, No 401 or 501 the best..

We recently stayed at I.V.A.C. for 2 nights and it was just a stop over and we were not interested in the treatments. On arrival they informed us that they were over booked and we would have to stay in one of the doctors relatives house with her . We were confined to a tiny bedroom where the double bed was flush to the wall on 3 sides and we had to climb over the end of the bed to get in it this was quite difficult to do as there were posts sticking out of it. Floor space was 6ft x 4ft approx and a small wardrobe took up some of this space. There was no safe in room as was specified for standard room and room was not made up on following day. We left a feed back form for the management with my email and phone number but I have decided to review this place because we have had no feedback.

Room Tip: definitely not in house of managements relative

A very beautiful haven of Ayurveda with excellent treatments and a wonderful ambience. I prefer Mysore to Kerala somehow it's location and connection with traditions like Sanskrit and Yoga is much more beautiful for having treatment. IVAC is on the slopes of Chamundee hill and very nicely poised. The treatments are heavenly here, try the Pizzichil.
