A little 10-15 minutes walk from Shimla Mall. Temple is beautiful. Kali Temple of Shimla is one of the must visit places specially for Bengali tourists in Shimla. Most beautiful sight in this temple is its "AARATI" at evening.

The best thing about the Shimla Kali Bari was the brilliant sunset we experienced from its courtyard! The long stroll from the Mall can be a tad difficult for the elderly. The premises are quiet. You can buy flowers, sindoor, prasad and other items for puja from vendors just outside the temple. There are monkeys, so be careful about your belongings.

One of the older temples in Shimla & a visit for the religious folk. Also provides a great view of Shimla hills & is a walk along the Mall road. You can do all these attractions in a few hours if you are OK to stroll around. En route there are some old villas which look like ghost houses but in their hay days, I assure you they would have the best view from Shimla.

Walking through the Mall, Lower bazaar you can reach this temple only by shedding sweat as no vehicle is allowed to go there. The road is very steep and not so easy to walk for unhealthy people. Temple is open till 9.30pm and is very calm. Strangers fear to walk in the dark, but localites give you confidence by declaring Shimla as NO CRIME CITY which sounds very good indeed.
