We were a team of 15 people who traveled to Shogi as a part of our annual offsite visit and opted for offsite package mentioned at their website.
We stayed there for 2 nights and our experience has simply been wonderful at Parkwoods. I have traveled to many destinations around the world but their hospitability beats any good hotel hands down.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy at the resort with good, well-behaved and trained instructors. Their safety gears were of high quality too and instructors were very friendly with our group. The night trek was something which i am going to cherish throughout my life. It was a different experience all together. Food at the hotel tasted like a home cooked food which we all liked and special mentions to the daily dessert which seems to be the specialty at the resort. Also, we stayed in the tents and which were definitely better than other camping location we have stayed at. The room space was sufficient and bathrooms were decent as well with gas geyser fitted & hence no issues w.r.t. hot water at all.
Overall, it was the best Value for Money stay I've ever had. Thanks to the great staff at the hotel.

Room Tip: I would highly recommend this place for group travels.

We at Ernst & Young, had planned our team outing to Park Woods Shoghi. It was a great off-site. The sessions were well planned by the team. Great rates too. Thanks for the effort put in by the team.

I was really getting bugged with the pressure of managing the ICU and my clinic and desperately needed a break. At the same time, I could not afford a long break. Then Dr.Sudeep, a colleague, arrived as a savior and suggested PARK WOODS, Shoghi. Trusting him, me and my wife decided to go there. We made our booking through the internet, which was hassle free from their website and then decided to travel via Volvo bus run by HPTDC. We made the booking form Chanderlok Building, Janpath, which again was hassle free. The journey was smooth and we reached there at 5am. We had asked for a pick up which was duly done. The resort is off the main road and the climb down to the resort is not easy...not for the elderly at least. We were warmly greeted bt Mr.Nekram and ushered into the Pinewood cottage we had booked. It was awesome, neat, cute and very relaxing and the view from even inside the room was terrific. They also have options of bamboo cottages and tents.

The resort is nestled in a jungle over 20 acres and is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One can just lie on a hammock and read a book or sleep or just enjoy the lovely blue sky above accompanied by the incessant chirping of birds and the orchestra of the crickets!!! For the more adventurous ones, they have the obstacle course and of course do not miss the JUNGLE TRAIL...its a great experience...in certain parts its scary too!! There is facility for Table Tennis and badminton. The food is homely, though the menu is limited and one can enjoy the food anywhere one wants....room service( they do not have telephone, so please keep the mobile numbers of people there), on the MACHAN or practically wherever one wants. The bathrooms are clean and spacious and there is 24 hours warm water.

Overall the experience was terrific and I have come back rejuvenated and ready for the onslaught.

Room Tip: Go for the Pinewood cottages, they are spacious with good quality bathrooms and closer the dining...

Shoghi, just about 30 mins before Shimla, is neatly tucked away hamlet and there is not much to identify this location other than the Park Woods resort. Visited the place for a New Years celebration with 3 other friends from Delhi. We made the booking in Delhi, though it is good to be aware that the resort spikes the rates for ocassions such as New Years.

The resort is very well maintained - it has option of walled huts and Swiss tents and is nestled between pine trees and almost seems a natural setting in the forest. The location is slightly off the main road and one needs to walk a few hundred metres from the nearest car point to reach the reception.

We occupied wall huts and found them to be cosy with a decent supply of hot water. The staff was courteous, food was nice and since it was New Years we were provided with a slot of for us in the main clearing area for a campfire and snacks. That made our stay special. We did not actively utilize the other facilities such as wall climbing etc. but the comfort and calm of the resort was a soothing experience. If you like photography, this is good place for some natural landscape shots. Shoghi is untouched by ghastly hill constructions and is a wonderful family/ romantic getaway. Would love to return back there sometime soon.

Room Tip: Choose a walled hut and avoid using a gas burner for heating at night. The gas can cause claustropho...
