“out of the way!”
Reviewed 11 June 2012

This is not a bad place and the food's decent too, it's just too far out to go for a meal that's going to be okay! They have a nice sit out for the evenings and the winter months. They might do better if they were closer to town!

“Calm place amidst hussling and buzzling city”
Reviewed 26 May 2012

The restaurant was not visible in the first instant. Needed to put in some sherlock effort to get the location. The delicatessan shop at the entrance was a blessing in disguise as I use to do extensive search for a lovely stuffed olives and sundried tomatoes. The subsequent venture into the rstaurant were awed by the ambience and the choice of menu with complimenting wines. The staff were friendly and the flow of service was good. The wood fired pizza was the pick of the item and the traditional Tiramisu was certainly the moment of glory enjoying the with family. The venue at the terrace and the private dining areas were real attraction with memories dragging back to the villas in Italy.. a nice treat and good place to hang around where the privacy is well respected.

“Way too expensive”
Reviewed 3 February 2012

There was a time that Tonino was exclusive enough to charge an arm and a leg. With Italian restaurants mushrooming in the city, they have now become completely out of line on their pricing.

“Too far, very average and not worth the travel”
Reviewed 7 January 2012

The place is really far and tucked away so it is really hard to find it. Once one gets there there one wonders if it was worth the effort at all. By the time one gets service and has a bit of the food one realizes that it was really not worth the travel.
