Sevilla is located in the heart of Delhi at The Claridges, New Delhi. It is arguably one of the city's most beautiful eateries with service & ambiance to match. A gurgling stream flows thru the eatery over pebbles & there's even a machan where u can sit & eat! The Mediterranean restaurant offers an inventive menu & a wide repertoire of delicious veg & non-veg dishes including a range of tapas -- Spanish starters. Apart from Sangrila, the famed spanish drink, the wine menu here boasts of a fairly eclectic range of European wines & spirits.
We ordered a predominantly non-veg meal of tapas, chicken paella, salmon pizzas from a wood-fired oven, a sausage platter & lobster raviolli. Each dish was outstanding. The gazpacho -- chilled tomato soup -- was delicious too. we ordered refills. Even though the eatery is a tad bit expensive -- with most dishes in the range of Rs 700-1000, I can't wait to go back.

Dining on albondigas, patatas bravas and bacalao, and drinking Torres vina sol, sitting outside in the balmy air, you can almost believe you are in Seville or Granada. All tapas we tried had the right Spanish flavours. And the atmosphere is good. Strongly recommended!

If you want to wine and dine in a quiet restaurant in downtown Delhi, then this is the place. If you want to have a romantic evening in an open-air set up, then this is also the place. But head to a pub, if you want to listen to some loud techno/house music here. Sevilla instead has quite a good singer/acoustic guitar player who apparently visits only on Wednesdays and Fridays. The tapas and the sangrias are excellent. For the dinner, I along with my wife settled for grilled tenderloin and Australian lamb chops, which was very good. The service was also impeccable and sometimes a bit intrusive as the guys tried to ensure we got all on time. The price was okay considering the ambience and the food as well. Overall, a very good place to spend a nice, quiet, romantic evening.

The overall setting and ambiance of Sevilla is definitely is a great date place. If you are one of those people who loves the open air, this is going to be your heaven. A fancy fire and open flames and in winter deep troughs provided the warmth. The private canopied seating near the waterfall is the best table in the house however I was expecting more authentic Spanish fare.

Ambience aside, there are few “Ole”moments with the food and beverage. The traditional spanish Sangria de Cava is Dead seamissing from the menu. We were told they have a wide selection of vodkas, so we tried the next best thing: order a bottle of Pinky (which was being offered in the menu). We were sadly told they ran out of stock as a private party drank the bar dry the night before. We eventually settled for a pitcher of Sangria and a bottle of sparkling wine …to make our own Sangria de Cava.

All three tapas we ordered seems to be prepared in the Dead Sea. They were overwhelmingly salty. It was inedible and we sent them back to the hell from which they came from.

My local Indian friend had to call 6 times to try to make a booking for a table. it’s a pity the rest of the experience doesn’t match the hypnotic magic they’d created with the setting because it’s a delightful spot in Delhi. One must note that it is open only for dinner from 7.30 p.m. to a bit beyond midnight

The biggest selling point at Sevilla is the setting - tables scattered around a large garden, with bonfires at night, fairy lights, little streams and bridges, and good live music. Very romantic.

Food is also excellent though a little pricey.
