Stayed here for a night on Christmas. The best things about this hotel are location, food and excellent customer service. Hotel is centrally located at the Connaught place. Food is amazing whether breakfast or dinner. Finally, hotel staff obliged me by providing early check-in as our train arrived early. So overall, very nice stay.
If you want to be right in the center, with shopping, food and nightlife right at the doorstep, with walking distance to some major attractions, then look no further, this is it.
The reception staff extremely friendly. In fact all staff very friendly, even the security guard at the entrance.
I stayed in a double deluxe room for the first two nights (#210) that was super clean, spacious, and marble bathroom.
so why the first two nights? So this room window is facing towards a night club across the road that plays loud music until late night on weekdays. Now me been a very morning person I like to go to bed early but the club music didnt allow for that.
However, the front staff were extremely helpful and changed the the room for me the next day for the remaining 2 nights which helped.
In general this building is old and, like most hotels in delhi, is in dire need of refurbishing. With this, the old rooms aren't very sound proof and you can easily hear your next door guest's conversations, or when they are watching TV etc. Luckily for me, my neighbours were very well behaved and no late night noises. BUT bring ear plugs just in case!
Other than this no complaints about the room but, please note, the bathroom amenities are very limited. Only basic hand soap and shampoo is provided so do bring anything you may need.
as for the restaurant, only had dinner the first night which was very nice. The daily breakfast is good, only couple of options available (no buffet) but sufficient.
Will I stay here again? Not sure, it always depends on availability and rates of all other hotels next time I visit.
The reception staff were incredibly helpful and the room was modern, very clean and well equipped. We arrived late and left early so didn’t get to take advantage of its location in the heart of Connaught Place. We ate dinner in the attached restaurant - Zaffran - which was busy and served delicious food.
The security staff on the front door made it feel very safe.
Stayed here for 4 nights in late February and was as advertised. Hotel is in great location in Connaugh Place and reception staff were excellent. On a daily basis they would offer advice and book us a taxi via Uber. Only negative I could identify is the rooms are small however as we were out all day exploring that had no impact.
Breakfasts were very good and the Zaffran Restaurant was excellent for evening meal with attentive waiters and beautiful food.
One thing to be aware of when picking up a taxi at airport (and nothing to do with the hotel I hasten to add) is the scam of taxi drivers telling you that they could not get close to the hotel because of protests. Beware of scams in India and check internet for details prior to arrival.
Would certainly stay here again if I came back to New Delhi.
We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel staff were very accommodating and gave us good advice as it was our first day in India. They also referred us to an excellent driver (Sanju) who we spent 4 days with. We felt very comfortable with the hotel staff and driver. Thank you.
