“modern and comfortable hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2010

This was a bright and welcoming hotel with modern amenities, including microwave, safe and tea making facilities, gym, sauna, unheated indoor swimming pool. The location was not ideal as it was slightly remote with only one Italian restaurant nearby. To be closer into the city it would take approx 45 mins to get there depending on the form of travel you chose. There was lots of choice for breakfast and the staff were generally polite and friendly. We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel but would have appreciated it being closer to the shops and bazaars rather than feeling forced to remain indoors during the evening.

The Good Points:
Very clean hotel with modern furniture. Evening hotel food was fine and gym was useful. Very prompt service from hotel staff.

Bad Points:
The location is terrible. The only taxi service available/ that the hotel is willing to book for you is massively overpriced and corrupt.

The hotel is off a main highway in a very dilapidated area. You can't walk to anything from it and wouldn't want to. This means you have to rely on the hotel car/taxi service and they REALLY take advantage of this. They charged 500rp for a 15 minute car trip, the "boss" of the taxi service is rude and goes back on pre-arranged prices. We booked a car for a full day and this included a journey to Agra and back. When we picked up the car in the morning, our driver had a "friend" with him who proceeded to talk loudly on his mobile for the full 4 hour drive to Agra and on the way back, drove us to a friend's marble factory which was uncomfortable and irritating. They also made us pay for "tourist taxes" on the way there as extras. On the way back home (3pm in the afternoon) we asked to be driven to a shopping centre to pick up a top and use the cashpoint. We were refused, saying it wasn't included in the price and they would charge another £10 to do so (the trip was already costing us nearly £80). Unbelievable and this really soured our experience.

This was a stop gap choice on the last 2 days of our Golden Triangle Tour. At 120$ Quite High for the location. However, the hotel is good. Service is good and prompt. These are not your typical rooms, but studio apartment of suite like rooms. Room has Ikea-type furniture. Quite neat and large. Food is good.

The hotel is difficult to find as it is not very well sign posted and its entrance is off the back of the street from the main road. The Mehrauli Gurgaon Road is a long, busy road and taxi drivers may not know this place, as it is relatively new. The accomodation is ideal for business travellers as the rooms are serviced apartments and perfectly equipped for working-on-the-go. However, there really isn't much in the area at walking distance. You will be pushed to flag a taxi off the main road. The hotel's taxi service is expensive and unreliable. You may be stuck at night to find anywhere to eat and drink without some transport. The hotel doesn't serve alcohol.
