“Grand and Beautiful - History well preserved”
Reviewed 19 April 2012

I have had a chance to visit the Rashtrapati Bhavan not once but twice. There is a certain number of visitors allowed inside the premises everyday. They usually get to go around the vsitior's area with a well informed guide who will point out the important things to have a look at.
We went to the Ashoka Hall (where all the important award giving ceremonies and all take place), to a miniature science laboratory that Mr APJ Abdul Kalam got set up for the kids who come in there, to the grand mughal gardens and to the museum which still preserves all the busts and the paintings of the erstwhile rulers. There is another museum as well which preserves the gifts that are presented to the Head of State,India by other dignatories who come visiting. Do have a close look as some of them are really interesting and give an insight into their culture.

“Very beautiful ...”
Reviewed 3 April 2012

Building, gardens, lane - absolutely beautiful. Very opulent (while many in this country suffer) and well cared.
There are guards directly outside the gate (with big machine guns so don't try anything!).

Reviewed 28 March 2012

its a huge place - dignified, colonia, austere. its NOT flashy opulent or modern. its very comprehensive in scope - own gold course swimming pool tennis courts squash courts fitness center huge lawns. it requires huge maintainence but it makes one proud to go in.
