I have had a chance to visit the Rashtrapati Bhavan not once but twice. There is a certain number of visitors allowed inside the premises everyday. They usually get to go around the vsitior's area with a well informed guide who will point out the important things to have a look at.
We went to the Ashoka Hall (where all the important award giving ceremonies and all take place), to a miniature science laboratory that Mr APJ Abdul Kalam got set up for the kids who come in there, to the grand mughal gardens and to the museum which still preserves all the busts and the paintings of the erstwhile rulers. There is another museum as well which preserves the gifts that are presented to the Head of State,India by other dignatories who come visiting. Do have a close look as some of them are really interesting and give an insight into their culture.
