Avoid going there during any public holiday , weekends & during hot summer days else you would end up queuing up in long queue that too more than 1-2 hrs & at the end when you able to enter half of you would have been exhausted & will remain unexcited to see all from inside.

It's difficult to describe the Qutb Minar, so when people say "It's a tower", it's hard to get enthusiastic about it. But go: it's very near Delhi, I think it took us only 20-25 minutes to get there, and it's seriously impressive, one of the greatest things in Delhi. You'd really be missing out if you didn't see it.

This area so history rich and peaceful especially the part beyong Imam Zamin's tomb. It really gives tranquility in the hustle bustle of the city of Delhi. I recommend visiting this place once and you'll know that the 'minar' is just one of many things to look at and admire.

Delhi is a real paradise for history lovers. It is a difficult city to navigate and is not exactly clean and all that. However, if you love historical sites (and i don't mean those creations which are a couple of centuries old although there are many of those as well), this city has a lot to offer. The Qutab Minar is certainly amongst the top in the list. Don't be fooled my the metro stop's name. It is called Qutab Minar but it is far from the actual site. Take a three wheeler or a regular taxi. Be very careful with your belongings, including your passport, etc.
