If your visiting Delhi and don't have time to drive to Agra to see the Taj then Humayuns Tomb is well worth a visit even if you do have time still visit its an amazing building

This was built just under a 100 years before the Taj and is a mixture of the both red sandstone and marble whereas the Taj is virtually all marble.

Like the Taj it's great to lazy around the gardens taking in the surroundings and watching the Eagles circle the rooftops

A beautiful monument , yet a bit disappointing to know that the real tombs are inside where you cant go. The tombs you see are not real, just replica of real one underneath.

I'm not able to understand why people spend half day in Taj Mahal, which is amazing by the wat, but is not interested in this gorgeous tomb when visiting Delhi.

As soon as you cross the doors, similitudes with Taj are made obvious. The main tomb is delightful and the rest of buildings are at least remarkable. Furthermore, pictures can be done inside the tomb oppositely to the no photography policy at Taj Mahal.

Surprisingly, despite being mentioned in every guide, local tourist are the most in this monument.

This place is behind trees, walls and barriers - charge is 500 rupees to go in for tourists (30 for locals !) sounds like a con but we'll work it. Once inside there's loads to see you need about 2 hours and you can't see anything from outside you'll be amazed at what there is to see once inside !
