Perfect service and wonderful to experience. Everything was 1st class. Too far from the Taj Mahal itself to make the trip, so perhaps I need to stay closer to the sights next time. I would recommend that you perhaps set aside a day to see something of Delhi, as it really is a beautiful city. Laid out by Edward Lutyens and not at all what I expected.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a Club Room if your budget allows. The extras are well worth it.

The hotel has an excellent location and helpful staff in housekeeping, f &b and fitness centre however the property is old and jaded and therefore feels overpriced at $225 per night plus taxes. I was billed for the room next to mine and it was only discovered 15 minutes after I had checked out.
Within the same range the Taj Palace Hotel offers a much better offering for the business traveller.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the lifts and on higher floors are better.Club floors are more expensive but offer free breakfast and one way pick up so you need to do the math before chosing a room.

Stayed at this hotel as part of a trip to India. What an amazing and fantastic experience. Service first class and nothing was too much trouble. Fine attention to detail with superb choice throughout. A thoroughly professional approach. They have got it just right and perfect.

Room Tip: Get upgraded if you can-gives a personal and fine service

From first look the hotel could update the rooms and the grounds, but after our first night here I fell in love with the place. Even though the rooms are starting to age, they have everything you need, and then some, like a big tub and all the amenities. The service at the hotel is superb, as well as the buffet breakfast. Also the masala chai is the best I had in India. The lobby is also beautiful. Highly recommended if you want to stay somewhere nice in Delhi. Great location too. My only complaint was that you had to pay for internet and it's pricey, which is too bad for a hotel that caters to business travellers.
