My husband and I stayed here for three nights in late December, 2011, and enjoyed every minute. The staff could not have been more polite and helpful, the check-in and check-out were efficient, the room was excellent, the buffet breakfast sumptuous, the travel advisor candid as well as charming, and we were treated like long-long relatives at Chutney, the delightful and delicious in-house restaurant.

An extra-added attraction: Returning from the lovely Lodhi Gardens restaurant (next to the beautiful park) on New Year's Eve, our driver ran into a traffic jam, so we got out, and a bit nervously walked right into a brilliantly lighted site that had been previously pointed out--the oldest Sikh temple in Delhi. We were welcomed to a huge, joyous celebration that turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip.

I stayed at the Met New Delhi for 5 nights in February while attending a friends wedding. The hotel itself is lovely and the rooms are large with comfortable beds. The staff went our of their way for us including a very nice lady from the front desk who spent about an hour helping my 3 lady friends get into their Sari's for the wedding. The spa is very nice i got a great massage and top notch service from everyone their. The free breakfast in the morning was awesome especially the pancake/omelet/waffle station. Transportation is a bit of a racket and if you're adventurous like my group i highly recommend taking the green three wheelers to get around the immediate area. My only gripe was when i ordered a chicken quesadilla and got what seemed more like a chick pea quesadilla. I would suggest they list all the ingredients of the dishes they have on the menu.

Room Tip: there were 6 of us and we had 2 connecting rooms, that was a lot of fun!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of a trip to India, we had four rooms that were very clean and well appointed.

The only downside was that the pool and outside common areas were rented out to private events for two nights of our stay, meaning that when we returned early from our day trips to go swimming, the pool was closed. Two of our rooms faced the pool, and there was lots of noise late at night due to these events.

The manager offered to move our two rooms that were affected by the noise, but only offered us 10% off a meal in the restaraunt for the inconvenience of not being able to use the pool for two days.

Where do I start? We checked in around 2 pm and were greeted by polite and helpful staff. We were then shown to our twin Club room which was clean and very comfortable. Nice decor...contemporary and cosy. Great shower and plenty of hot water.
My sister and I then went up to the lounge for cocktails and had the best G&T's made by the wonderful attendant. He must have thought we were lunatics...we giggled so much after those drinks!
Breakfast @ the Zing restaurant was tasty with a good selection of dishes, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Masala tea which has to be requested.
The Hotel is ideally located for Connaught Place and Bangla Sahib Gurdwara which was a huge plus for us(it's 3 mins walk ).
The Craft shop is wonderful but nothing can surpass the Neoveda Spa experiences we had.
It's pricey but well worth it. The girls were great masseurs.
Do pop into the new Art Gallery...great originals!
We only stayed 2 nights but thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would go back in a heartbeat.
As always there are a few hiccups in any place...The Metro's Chutney Restaurant was disappointing. Granted we did not order their signature dishes but at those prices...EVERYTHING should taste amazing! Wi-Fi is available but VERY slow! Also the Travel Desk needs to have a more dynamic and helpful person behind it! We found that they were quite disinterested and in complete contrast to the rest of the Staff with whom we developed a great rapoire. You'll know who you are ladies...I have forgotten names...I'm sorry! But THANKYOU for the laughs we had and the lovely gifts that you gave us before we left.
So overall...The Metro is a great little place and I wish it
all the best in the future. Hopefully my sister and I will return one day. Thanks guys!
