I have known Aquaterra from it's inception, it is the ultimate adventure company: they have fun on their own trips, while obviously providing fun and a great experience.
When I was offered the chance to join a rafting expedition through the Grand Canyon, there was very little that could have kept me away. It was the experience of a life time, meticulously planned from the hedonism of Las Vegas to the pristine reaches of the canyon. Totally professional river people - who made fun a lifestyle - from the bus ride to clambering through miraculous side canyons and running some hairy rapids - to the amazing food that these guides would churn out on the pristine campsites. This is a trip for every adventure lover.

Over the years i have used Aquaterra Adventures for nearly all my outdoor trips, from rafting on the Ganges to expeditions on the Bhramaputra , Subhansari , Tons and most recently our trip to Chile, needless to say i look forward to many more over the coming years, the staff, arrangements and generally overall safety is simply great and this makes me keep going back. Highly recommend using them and having a truly remarkable experience..

Visiting Machu Picchu has always been a dream...so when our favorite adventure travel company Aquaterra planned a trip to Peru I was super excited...and the experience matched my expectations in every way. The organization was smooth, the company superb, hotels mostly very good. Care was taken while researching the itinerary to cover experiences of all kinds, from adventure to sightseeing to trying local food. Would have liked a bit more time for shopping for those amazing Alpaca wool products tho:) We started with a couple of days in Lima to get the big city experience- beautiful buildings, yummy Peruvian food (oh those maize cobs!) and of course the discovery of the trip- the pisco sour! Next was the quaint cobbled town of Cusco where we soaked in Quechua or Inca culture guided by some very knowledgeable and professional guides, and ate some world-class cuisine. Driving out from Cusco in a comfortable bus, we encountered ancient villages, architectural sites and fabulous views of the Andes. We spent the night in a gorgeous villa-style hotel in the little town of Ollantaytambo, having eaten a memorable local meal to live local music along the way at a hacienda, and played with cuddly llamas who ate grass out of our hands. Now it was time for Machu Picchu- we took a train to a point from where we trekked a few hours on the old Inca trail, arriving soaked to the spectacular view of Machu Picchu from Intipunku or the sun gate. we had a glorious 2 days at Machu Picchu with a guide as well as with free time to discover its remarkable energies and ruins. And to top it all off, we climbed the very steep Huayna Picchu, the mountain that towers over the ancient city. Just when one thought it was over, we set off for the mysterious Lake Titicaca where we stayed at a fabulous hotel on the water and visited the islands on the vast water body, learning about the curious civilizations and eating some simple but divine food. Thanks Aquaterra for allowing me a glimpse of this beautiful land with its warm and simple folk and its amazing history!

I went to Camp Silver Sands on Ganga for two day rafting trip.Quite a friendly staff. Safe and Secure. They say that they don't have hotel staff to serve you but they are more humble than those Hotel Management Graduates. You can feel secure as if you are in your own house.

Best River Guides who make your experience memorable. And the good part is they don't compromise on your safety when in river and otherwise also.

Would never forget Jeetu and Rana. Gem of a person they are.

Do carry your sunglasses and a sun screen/block along. Highly required.
One of the must visit places for Adventure
