This was our first holiday to the north of India. We were booked at Ginger Delhi (Rail Yatri Nivas) but after seeing the pathetic state of the hotel, we immediately left in search of a better place. Our driver took us to Karol Bagh, after checking out several hotels, we finally liked ‘The Pearl (A Royal Residency), as it was well ventilated, it had a skylight and was bright compared to all the other neighbouring hotels. The room tariff was very reasonable for a metro. One can bargain for the room tariff, at most of these hotels, in this area. The staff are very helpful but not much can be said about the food. There are many restaurants in the main market area, like Shudh, Sri Balaji, Nirulas, Bikanerwala, Sandoz(amazing non-veg), Alpha Spice(a little expensive but great food) etc. The Pearl is a good place to stay but one should eat at a restaurant nearby. Many foreigners prefer staying at ‘The Pearl’. The other good hotels in Karol Bagh area, are the hotels owned by the Singh Group.

This hotel we only stayed at one night, but it was a pleasure.
The beds where 5 star for India and amazingly clean.
The only hassle was the internet connection/speed was terrible (could have been bad connections) but we had no success with getting online. The shower plug also was very clogged after a shower and water was everywhere in the bathroom,(but that is being very fussy)
The service of staff was great and location was very central. All up was a very pleasent stay.
