“What's not to love?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 October 2011

A great ambience about the place, the limited staff is only there to assist if you need them to, but you can go ahead and make your own chai and coffee, and sometimes bakers leave out biscotti and the like for you to munch on. It's a great place for free coffee, free wifi and comfortable seating. If there aren't too many people talking, you can plug in your mp3 player (iPods only, I believe) into the main sound system and play music. There's nice travel books and paintings up for sale there, aimed mostly at the foreign visitors but lovely nonetheless.

but PLEASE be polite and leave behind some tip/money in the tip jar (or rather beautiful ornate box) right next to the door. These guys have put out such a nice, beautiful place to chill out in, and I'd hate for people to take undue advantage of it.

Friends and I have spent several lovely afternoons there, just chilling, or working.

“Kunzum Top (pun intended)...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2011

I came to know about Kunzum cafe via facebook. After joining their facebook page, I just loved the way all interactions happened there. People asking for tips and folks @ Kunzum replying etc.
Kunzum was actually started as a blog by Ajay Jain(the owner) almost 5-7 years ago and later a small gallery I think(same place where cafe is situated right now). But now its also extended into something completely different. a travel cafe. So the theme of cafe is about traveling. I can't visit this place very often because I live in Mumbai. I visited the cafe only once and that too for brief period of time. It was a lovely place although a bit smaller than I imagined it to be. The atmosphere and ambiance was pretty cool. There were travel related books(mostly) lying around. You can pick any of them. Read. Some of them are available for sale as well. Have coffee with their signature cookies. Access wi fi on your laptop. In short just chill out. Meet new people. Make friends. Chat. Exchange your travel stories and so on. Lately there has been lot of artistic events happening over there and occasionally some intellectual, fun etc talks as well.
This definitely isn't like any of your chain coffee shop in the town.
Its also popularly known to serve "free" coffee, "free" wi-fi etc. Well, lets not call it free. Its "pay whatever you want" kind of thing and not "free" . so please a humble request. pay/donate some reasonable amount whenever you visit the cafe. or buy some of the books, photos available there for sale.
If you are ever planning to come down to Delhi, this place surely needs your attention.
and If you are a travel freak, well, that would be some serious jackpot for you.

We need more places like these all over and at the same time generous people to support this kind of buisness.
P.S. This is to Ajay: You guys need to think of opening one in Mumbai soon.
