Beautiful hotel. Got upgraded to the 8th floor, junior suite with a balcony and plunge pool, sitting room, dining room, kitchen, etc etc 823A I think. No view of Delhi as the weather was abnormally wet and foggy but it would have been good. Great sleep quality with sliding wooden shutters to block out light.
I would have given the hotel a full five stars except for the restaurants on site. There is an Asian European one and an Indian one. We booked for the latter but found it so offputting we didn't eat there. I think it was because of the weather. Perhaps if the outside had been open/ warm and dry it would have been ok but the interior part in the evening was brightly lit (no candles on tables just overhead lighting etc) and it felt like a shopping mall. The food was good at the Asian one (the waterfront) but we had some language problems with the waiter. Quite a number of members of staff spoke very poor English which we didn't really find at the other hotels I must admit but that's my fault for not speaking any Indian languages either. Breakfast was good with a potato dosa and a fresh sweet lime juice hitting the spot nicely. The coffee from the machines in the room was superior to what was being served at breakfast. We arrived in a DRY DELHI DAY 26th Jan (republic day) so no alcohol was being served in the hotel. The mini bar had beer but no spirits or wine. FYI.

Room Tip: The plunge pool is a nice luxury

Tried the Sunday buffet here. Had some really good options available plus the ambience is some what to die for! Pretty romantic, can be a setup for a perfect date! Otherwise suitable for all types of occasions.
Plus very convenient location too.

Arguably the best luxurious hotel in Delhi but definitely the best in terms of service, food and location.

I generally don't spend time on writing reviews but the exceptional services my parents got from Mr. Jitender (room service) and Mrs. Deepti ( spa section) while celebrating their 40th anniversary here compelled me to do so.

Each and every person in the hotel is so humble and down to earth and is ready to serve you with their arms full wide open.

There were many other people who made my parents 2 nights stay wonderful and memorable. I don't remember all the names but i would thank Mr. Manish (accounts dept), Saurabh (Elan restaurant) for their effort. Sorry if i skipped any name.

Guys, all of you are doing great, just keep it this way.

Thanks.

We arrived in Delhi early in the morning and our fantastic experience with the Lodhi staff started already at the airport. In the arrival hall, we were met by a hotel representative who effectively guided us to the hotel car. As we arrived early in the morning, our room was not ready for check in, but we were given another room for free where we could sleep for a few hours and then refresh ourselved. At the concierge desk, the excellent concierge Gaurav then tailormade a roundtrip for us with a hotel car (a SUV). The driver was excellent and transported us safely around Delhi in the most chaotic traffic we've ever seen. He even followed us in a separate rickshaw when we were taking a rickshaw ride - just to guarantee our safety. We were so satisfied with the tour that we actually ended up asking Gaurav to arrange two more tailormade trips with the same driver - both ending up equally excellent. The room was large, and a heated private plunge pool made January afternoons on the terrace a comfortable choice. We have been travelling a lot all over the World and have stayed in several five stars hotels, but we've never seen a staff like this. A clear number one choice in Delhi!

The Lodhi is the perfect escape from the noise/hustle and bustle from Delhi life. We were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment and the space is gigantic. The best thing is the private heated plunged pool and the sun bed. I could lie there all day. Breakfast is a la carte (although secretly I wish it was buffet). And food is great at the Waterfront. I had wanted to do some Pilates for my knee injury ( I have a machine at home) but unfortunately you can't access the studio without booking a class. All in all this is a great hotel in Delhi.
