I had the most amazing trip to Rajasthan India with Sunil and Anya, They were so knowledgeable, friendly, funny, warm and honest. We flew in and out of Dehli and for 3 weeks traveled by car around the region. It was a mixture of cultural sites and textile workshops. All were perfect. The workshops were in little villages with people who have been doing the techniques for generations. We learned mud resist block printing, traditional tie dying, and stitching. We visited homes where women were weaving gorgeous Sari fabric. Every where I turned my head there was a new and amazing thing to see. It was inspirational.
We also visited beautiful sites like the Taj Mahal, many forts and palaces, an art deco theater where we saw a movie, rode a camel. We were in Pushkar for Holi and got to experience that day of color and happiness.
I felt very taken care of, the hotels and restaurants were chosen carefully, there was something special about each one. The days were very full but it was tailored to our needs. The driver was amazing too and even on the crazy roads there we felt very safe. I would return to India in a minute and I would 100% choose Maasa India Tourism to go with.

As a young girl I had always dreamed of visiting India. All the books I read, all the films I saw and all the colour I imagined, never quite prepared me for this experience. This tour was all that and so much more. The crazy city of Delhi can be overwhelming, but I felt completely comfortable from the beginning with our super guides and driver.
This textile tour encompassed everything from the beautiful Taj Mahal, to tiny remote villages to forts and palaces. We were so lucky to be able to experience hands-on workshops, from mud-resist printing, indigo dying to block printing, stitching and tie-dye. All done in the traditional way with experienced masters who have been doing these processes for hundreds of years. This was definitely a highlight for me and a great use of my time. Not only in learning these traditions, but adventuring into peoples homes in tiny villages and seeing how they live and work.
Another highlight was staying in heritage hotels. Beautiful accommodation in luxurious settings helped me unwind after long days either in the car or touring around.
The food for the entire 3 weeks was incredible and our guides were so aware of our restrictions and made sure everything we ate was fresh, the cups were dry and the restaurant was clean. None of us in our tiny group were sick as were all careful also and avoided fresh salads, water and ice. We also took grapeseed extract, pro-biotics and had charcoal tablets for any queasiness.
I feel so lucky to have visited India and done it this way with the team of Maasa India Tourism. They covered all the bases and gave me a complete experience of Rajasthan and all that it has to offer. I would like to go back and next time do the south including Mumbai, Kerala, Fort Cochin and Goa and I'll definitely try and do it with Maasa. Thanks Anja and Sunil for making me fall in love.

I recently returned from the textile tour with Maasa India Tourism (Feb/March 2017).
I have always wanted to travel to India so when I saw the itinerary for the textile tour I jumped at the chance. I loved every minute of it. It was such fun. Travel and hands on workshops with the most wonderful people! My favorites workshops were the mud resist printing in Bagru, traditional tie dye in Udaipur and block printing and stitching in Pushkar. In between all that was the wonder and beauty of all the forts, palaces and sites along the way. We got to experience Holi in Pushkar which was the cherry on the top.

We were taken such good care of from start to finish, and really got a feel for daily life in India. The tour was well organized, with a great mixture of activities, site seeing and down time. Our driver was amazing navigating us through some of the craziest traffic I have ever seen! The food was fabulous. We stayed in heritage hotels which really captured the history, beauty, art and design of India.
Honestly, it is the best tour I have taken by far. Sunil and Anja are an amazing team and really made this trip a memorable one. It was such a beautiful introduction to India I am hooked.
I can’t wait to travel with them again!
