We have been going to Naivedyam for the last 23-24 years. . And we are south Indians. It is our "go-to" south Indian restaurant. Easy to get to in HKV, even when my parents had mobility issues. The quality of food has been consistently good. My sons will NOT countenance going to any other south Indian vegetarian restaurant. The decor, with the Tanjore paintings is excellent. The cooking is Mangalore/Udipi.. though they have some not so authentic dishes (paneer dosa...). They would oblige us and make us "set dosas" (my father's favourite) even before the Pancharatna came on the menu. Once they made us aamras and puri (again off the menu) in Mango season.
Not at all expensive. The tiffin thali is a good introduction to south Indian snack food for our many visitors.
