My wife, teenage daughter and I spent 2 nights in the Clove Villa while exploring Kandy and the surrounding area. This property, located on the outside of Kandy, used to be a private home but has been converted into an upscale boutique hotel / bed & breakfast. We had a large, modern bedroom that easily accommodated 3 adults: great wif-fi, comfortable beds, modern bathroom, cable TV (World Cup time), nice decorations, etc. Breakfast was good and made to order.
The common areas (a number of separate seating areas, dining area, billiard table, swimming pool in the garden, etc. ) were of good quality and tastefully decorated. The staff were excellent; professional service, sociable & friendly and helpful with any advice or assistance we needed. If you like places that are a little more unique, quite and provide a personal touch, then I recommend Clove Villa.

Great boutique hotel outside of all the hustle and bustle of Kandy. Extremely accommodating staff, especially Charlie, who went above and beyond to make us comfortable and give recommendations on what to see and do. The meals were excellent (both breakfast and dinner) and personalized to our individual tastes. Only suggestion would be to have a mini fridge in the rooms.

A converted villa with 7 rooms, a dining area and pool table. Rooms are excellent. Comes with pool. Charlie is your host and is keen to look after your every need. Quaint ... no beer but they'll arrange a tuk-tuk to take you to the supermarket!

Lovely intimate villa. Gorgeous staff delicious food. We were kindly upgraded to a suite. Perhaps only negative is bit away from centre of Kandy. Worth going to see the Tooth relic temple however was huge crowds so we didn’t line up just absorbed the atmosphere of locals coming with their offerings

My wife and I enjoyed two lovely nights here. We were the only guests at the time (off-season) and the staff did eveything to make us feel comfortable. The room was spacious with beautiful interior and everything was kept really clean. Particularly enjoyable was also the food they made. Although the breakfast selection was standard, the dinner witg original dishes we had was really outstanding. We would always come back!
