We live in Sri Lanka and tried many hotels and villas on the Western coast. The Palm Villa is certainly the best of all. What makes it so special? Location first. Its located right on the beach, you can step out of your gate and feel touch of the ocean. Its also located close to the town Ambulagoda and its easy to go shopping for your snacks and drinks. Its also 20 minutes away from the Hikka beach where we did snorkeling and even surfing. There are many nice attractions around for adults and kids as well such as tortoise hatcheries, interesting temples. Beach is super private and you almost don't have any strangers wondering around. Certianly nobody there to try to sell you something.
Second thing about that villa is comfort. Everything is organized and arranged for a great comfort so you don't need to worry about anything. If you want to cook your meal, in the kitchen you can find gourmet equipment, juice and smoothie maker, toaster and you name it. If you don't want to cook you can either ask cook to come from neighboring villa to cook for you or just order food from that villa "6 Degree North" which we did and enjoyed food from it. We also use that villa for great massage and transportation to Hikka and around.
Rooms are huge and cozy. Master bedroom has a full view of the ocean so you can sleep with the soothing sound of waves on the background. Its very luxurious. Everything is done with a great taste and attention. Villa is brand new and spotless. Aircon did not work first day but next day it was fixed.
Infinity pool is huge for a villa on the beach and kids loved playing it all the time.
Dinner table set outside, living room is fully open to the ocean so you can enjoy ocean full time.
There is a guard and a gardener there which could be less imposing (wondering around villa without prior or any notice) but its a very minor discomfort.
That was an amazing experience and I wanted to go back already but unfortunately was not able to book it.
Liked best:
Location and view
Liked least:
living room gets hot without AC and with open doors we had mosquito attacked us.

Thank you for your gracious review, I'm delighted you found everything to your satisfaction. It's takes a little while to get use to "Uncle" our gardener, but he is very helpful and always willing to help in anyway.
Hope to have you back soon.
