As every where in THE « ecological country », you must pay an expensive entrance to visit old stones surrounded by waste ... hopefully, I expect that our euro will be use to clean the all historical sites in this country ! (Entrance to the citadel - 3,5€ - walls - 2€)

We visited the Citadel after a walk around the city walls. It costs 3.5 euros to get in, but it was well worth it. There is a lovely little cafe with fantastic views over the marina and St Nicholas Island. It you climb right to the top there are also lovely views over the old town. There isn't a huge amount to do there, but it is really nice for a bit of peace and quiet.

I absolutely love the old town in Budva. Great memories, cozy ancient atmosphere, attracting tourists attention. Loved that spirit of older streets. Want to come back.

After having strolled through the over crowded and touristic old city of Budva it was magic to find this quiet and beautiful restaurant at the tip of the peninsula which is part of the old citadel. The athmosphere was maybe better that the food, but the overall experience was very nice. The menu with light was especially impressive. A perfect place to gaze the moon over the Bay of Budva.

The Citadel was 3.50 euros to get in. The visit takes about 15 mins to walk around and admire the view. There is not much else to see really. Still worth doing for the price.
