It’s too expensive! 1. i was waiting for Ceausescu to see / the hotel is really communist; 2. breakfast- it’s not continental at all, I was not able to eat anything; 3. it was a weird smell in the bathroom; 4. don’t go in the weekend time- you will not be able to sleep because of the loud music from the Pub’s near the hotel.

the Plus part: 1. location is so good; 2. pool- is world class - really good

The hotel is situated in the city center next to Palatul Culturii and Palas Mall, so the access to public transport is extremely easy, tram and bus stations are right next to the hotel. The high floors offer great view of the city. Although the hotel still keeps the communism air from the time it was built, the rooms were tidy and clean. Also, the hotel service was very good, we arrived at 6.30 a.m. and they let us check-in although the check-in time was at 02.00 p.m.. Breakfast had all sorts of various dishes, for all kinds of tastes. Overall the hotel is ok, however it could use some design improvement to bring it up-to-date.

Room tip: Ask for rooms situated at higher floors, the view is pleasant.

We stayed at the hotel in early May, large and reasonable rooms, the furniture outdated and in need of improvement, the shower reasonable but often with the smell of sewage. The air conditioner in the room was noisy and not cool the room. It was necessary to ask the receptionists to instruct the operators to allow the air condition to operate. At night, it would stop cooling and the reception told us when the temperature dropped below a certain level it stops automatic And the heat in the room was unbearable and you had to sleep with an open window with all the noises around and the loud music from the nearby pub. Breakfast was average, the waiters seemed more busy cleaning the tables than filling trays that had emptied. Whoever came after nine o'clock would not find much, and the time for breakfast was until ten o'clock. The reception staff is courteous and readily filled with any request. The hotel lobby and entrance are poor and require improvement, the doors are not automatic, making it difficult for people with wheelchairs to enter the hotel. The hotel has free private parking for guests of the hotel and is also available for guests who are invited to pay. The place requires a great improvement in maintenance even though it is on a three-star level. The price you need is a bit expensive for what you get. The good thing about the hotel is its central location. We do not think we'll go back to him again.

The view is amazing from the fire escape. It is in the middle of town. The lobby feels like in a different era with a definite communist vibe. The rooms are decent and the breakfast has everything it needs, a sort of continental breakfast but with Romanian tones. It is worth staying here for the view and access the fact that it doesn't have the proper look and feels a bit old is part of the charm. If you want fancy it's not the place for you but if you like personality this is the place. Money for value can't really say because I am more of a couch surfer.

PRO's:
- centrally located, you can walk to all visiting objectives
- incredible views over the city, also the sunset
- you have a Carrefour market just across the street
- very clean and refurbished rooms
- heating system works perfectly
- very comfortable bed mattress
- polite and helpfull front desks clerks
- you have free access to the World Class pool, gym and spa
- in the lobby you can find an automatic swimsuit dispenser
- very, very fast elevators, you don't have to wait more than a few seconds to get in (there are 3 elevators)
- the prices for the minibar are quite affordable

CON'
- the breakfast despite the fact that is tasty and various, is not replenish in time, the waiters cares more on cleaning the tables instead of replenishing the finished dishes; if you arrive around 9:30 when the food is finished you won't get any new one, even if the hotel breakfast is until 10:00
