This museum is a weak point in heritage sites in Badagry. Needs more attention. Some interesting exhibits, but very few artifacts. Some of the building structure is falling apart. Even took a while to get building opened when we visited.

This was one of the most enlightening adventures I have ever been on. There is a sadness that dwells in this place but also a reminder of how far we have come. I am honored to have been in such a historical place to hear the stories of my ancestors and stand where they once stood.

A long way to go for so little when it is such a fascinating part of the country's history. The museum is tiny and only a handful of artefacts

It's about 2 hour drive from Lagos, but really worth it. There are several black heritage museums in the Badagry area, friendly tour guides. Great escape from chaos of Lagos.
