we stayed 1 night at 307 water chalet. it is on the sea .though opposite chalet block out part of the sea view, it is still a great spot. the best experience is lying on the day bed, watching the tides & birds in the morning. the shower area is great, feel secured as it is on the sea .love the open design.staff is friendly most of them do smile, ,some even greet us when passing by.the only bad side is parking. you have to cross a road, which sometimes get busy, before reaching
the parking area. they should provide some assistance.

We booked a one night stay in Avillion through their website. It was very busy when we arrived, being a long weekend. Thus we were told that the room wasn't ready at check-in time. It took another hour (!) and some asking before the front desk told me the room was ready.
When we went to put our belongings in the room, we found out that there were only 2 towels. Not 2 sets, but just 2 towels. Which doesn't feel much, when you are a family of 5! When we asked for extra towels, the answer was, that we were not allowed extra, because it was very busy that day. When you pay 720RM I would have liked to have enough towels. In the end we got 2 extra, after going to the front desk and calling housekeeping (no answer) several times.
Besides this it was a nice stay for a short break. Crowded kids' pool, but nice beach and nice paths to walk.

Having visited Avillion PD once 2 years ago, I was very much keen to see what they have done since their refurbishment that was reported in the newspapers. However, I was kinda let down when I did not see much done (visually) except for the television (which is now LCD), removal of the mosquito netting and perhaps the mattress (which I may be wrong). Other items in the room remains the same as much as I could remember since my last visit.

Despite that, my stay this time was much more better and enjoyable than my previous trip (also reviewed here). Checking in and checking out was a breeze and I did not need to cross the busy road to get to my car this time around. The small animal farm had a lot more animals in it now compared previously and having peacocks and roosters walking past while having our breakfast has certainly created some excitement amongst the little ones (mine included).

A note to the management team. The facilities that you have provided in your resort is fantastic and provides a nice quiet getaway from the city life. However, perhaps some of your staff could show faces that make us feel welcomed. I am not expecting them to smile 24/7 but just do not show a face as if that we owed them money. I experienced this at The Gallery during dinner time. Other than this, it was good! Keep it up.

Room Tip: If you have little ones and have lots of things to carry, perhaps request for a room on the ground l...

From the picture, it seemed that at last we have found a nice place for a stay in Port Dickson. We booked about RM600++ room, called the 'WATER CHALET', with pictures that clearly showed a view into the ocean and the description as Chalet 'sitting on stilts above shallow waters'. When we reached there, we were given a chalet, yes, but on the beach, with no ocean view, and with a view facing a dinner party. This is clearly FALSE ADVERTISING, as we found out half the 'water' chalets were NOT in water at all, and to get the view of the sea, you had to go out into the balcony and view it. In that case, I might as well pay RM200 less to get the garden chalets!!!

Extremely disappointing, when asked, the management told us there were no more chalets available. Plus it came with 2 single beds as opposed to one queen sized bed for my wife and I. Plus, the wi-fi access is an excruciatingly frustrating experience.

Avillion looks good from the outside, but it's one of those extremely disappointing resorts that uses a lot of fake advertisements to lure people in. If you insist on staying here, please make sure to ask explicitly for the few chalets that are ACTUALLY IN THE WATER, and not the rest of the water chalets with a view at somebody's barbeque on the beach.

Terrible and disappointing, truly give Malaysian hospitality a bad name!!!

Room Tip: PLEASE request explicitly for water chalets in the water, not the ones situated on the beach, or you...
