Teppanyaki - no, not the Japanese teppanyaki, but local grill style.

Our order:
- grilled fish with three type of sauce placed on top, sambal, ginger paste and fried shallots/garlic. fresh and interesting sauces. good.
- grilled squid. tender with lovely smoky taste. good.
- stuffed crab. minced crab meat placed in shell. okay.
- sliced fried tofu. this is more like tau kwa, the firmer drier type of tofu.
- boneless roast duck, came with some tangy sourish sauce poured over it. good.
- lala. fresh and the sauce it's cooked in is delicious.
- vegetables. they only had beansprouts or four angled beans. we chose the latter, fresh and crunchy. good.
- overall, a wonderful meal.

Please take note:
- use waze to get there. the signboard is not visible from the road. property is at a bend in the road.
- eating and cooking area is sheltered, beside some village houses.
- there's only one cooking style for each item. there were two other items on the menu which we didn't order: prawn and otak-otak.

If I were to return again, I would just order the bbq fish or other seafood and stir fry box beans. Ya, bring your own sambal belacan because their sambal sucks! Don't ever order their crab meat in shell! It tastes disgusting with crab meat on top disguised paste at the bottom. I felt cheated. The duck was edible..The fish is fresh though but approach other food with caution. Their taufoo (beancurd) leaves a bad after taste in your mouth like fried cardboard slathered in thick goeey sauce. This place is good with bbq seafood but you must bring your own sambal belacan otherwise you'll be very unhappy like me.

Just a short distance from Grand Lexis Hotel, off the main road.
Much touted for its teppanyaki. A little girl of 10-12 years served us.
Each time that we mention cooking style of Prawns or Tofu she will say Teppanyaki
(tie-pan-sou or Hot Plate).
The dilapidated structure is Build on 3 layers of cemented floor each demarcate the sitting area, kitchen & wash area.
The food we ordered were 3 ways fish, teppanyaki prawns, tofu, sweet potato leaves, sambal cuttle fish & lala.
All dishes served in steel plates minus the hot-plates ???
Anyway the bill came to RM130 for the dishes consider small. Average in taste.
A white kitten ate more fish meat (our orders) than most of us.
Well maybe our taste buds were not working this sunny afternoon

Tried their ikan bakar and other dishes. Acceptable taste. Not too great and not too bad either. Don't have too high expectation if you wish to have your lunch here. However, if you have not try before, you can have a go. Taste is based on individual.
