went there in june 2012 with elderly parents, and 2 small children. took a 3 bedroom apartment ( around rm280). Its quite hard to find as the signs are hidden. better to call ahead ask for directions if you are driving yourself. the rooms looks quite old and worn down as we first entered. but as we got used to it, everything fucntioned perfectly and it was quite comfy.
Pros: had 1 great big pool and 1 small baby pool for the kids. also beach is right behind the resort. also quite cheap for 3 rooms. BBQ also available upon request.
cons: no breakfast included, rooms old but functionable.

Room Tip: great for big families and people with budget

Stayed two nights with siblings and cousins and their families. Ample parking space. Nice spacious apartments. Rented the 3 rooms 2 bathrooms. Good facilities for light cooking with good place/pits set up nearby for barbecuing.Gorgeous view. Located near PD town so no problem finding food, entertainment, shopping for souvenirs, etc. Big swimming pool and kiddy pool, suitable for families. Will definitely re-consider for future holidays with family in PD :)

Room Tip: Even if you have booked the barbecue pit in advance, make sure you keep an eye on it, place some of your stuff nearby since some people might just come and set up their barbecue without booking for it first.

If you are expecting 4 or 5 stars room condition, Seri Bulan condo apartment may not be your right choice. However, the cleanness, reasonable price, nice beach front and clean pool (during our stay) are very suitable for family gathering and children. This apartment is located next to Ancasa resort.

We booked 3 units of 2 bedrooms apartment during our stay as 3 bedrooms unit are fully booked. RM250 each for weekend and RM200 for weekdays (Book direct from Tel:06-6627030 as online booking from other agent is more expensive). Try to request unit with sea view and equipped with air-conditioned in living room (all bedrooms with air-con) if you are planning to stay there. Nice view of Teluk Kemang public beach, sunrise and also sunset from the balcony. Living room, kitchen and rooms condition ok except the toilet was a bit old but clean. It was an unforgettable moment to enjoy the sunrise scenery and birds “singing competition” early morning…it was really wonderful!

The pool was clean. Except the cover of perimeter drain around the pool, some parts broken or damaged. The management shall do something about it.

As it is located at the end of the beach of Teluk Kemang, not many public will have their activity here, hence most of the time it becomes a “private beach” for those staying here. The sea water is clear compared to other beach area at PD.

Besides the pool and sea, you may have a visit to Ostrich farm nearby which is interesting for kids and also Cape Rachado light house; nice place for photo taking.

Meal is not a problem as there are lots of seafood restaurants or mamak stalls along Jalan Pantai. Overall, this is a nice place for short holidays!

I have been to many beaches and resorts all over Malaysia, but never have I been to a 'hideout' that is private and offers the best views of the bay (Teluk Kemang), the sunset.

My friends and I decided to go on a girly gurl road trip last weekend...and PD was chosen as our destination. Finding the right place to fit our wants and needs (we are all very fussy, mind u) was just crazy!

I spent two working days googling resorts and apartments which offers reasonable weekend rate. Finally, the search was narrowed down to two : Laguna Resort & Seri Bulan Apartment. We finally settled for Seri Bulan (though gurlz had some reservation), after finding NO negative comments on TripAdvisor. (hehehe)

On our way down to PD, the gurlz started bombarding me with questions about Seri Bulan -'is it clean', 'u sure it's ok onot?' and the questions went on and on till we got to the PD Hospital round-about. Thank God the many-vacant-blocks of PD Marina World diverted their minds ( and blabbering) till we got to Ancasa All Suites Resort. That was supposedly our point of entry (the side road) but no entry that day since the Road Works Department to dig out the pipes during peak hours!!! (and the traffic was back-logged all the way back to PD Marina!)

The other exit was about 200 meters down the road, opposite some place called Poly Mall (don't look like a mall to me) The road was spooky as we had to pass a whole block of deserted bungalows (abandoned project), private bungalows and Si Rusa Residence ( the favourite hang out in the 70s, or so I was told). At last, Seri Bulan received us with open arms at the end of the road. But being the gurlz with loads of questions and hesitation, they insisted on checking out the apartment FIRST before checking in. The Front Desk Manager was indeed very obliging and helpful, handed us the key to a two bedded apartment.

The apartment was just... home-y . The toilets were clean, there were pots and pans and cups and plates in the kitchen, the rooms were air conditioned, but what stole our hearts was the view from the balcony... It had the most beautiful view of the wide ocean.. The sight was just so breathtaking that we upgraded ourselves to three bedded apartment!

I must share with you guys one, funny incident - our bags didnt make their way to the rooms since we were just 'caught up' with the sight from the balcony!! It was just - BEAUTIFUL!!

The swimming pool is just perfect...they have a baby pool for toddlers as well. There is a jacuzzi too but I suspect it has been out of order for awhile since the stench was not funky at all! Another set back is that they don't provide towels as well, so my advice to all is just bring your own towels. Otherwise, grab one at the RM2.99 shop in PD town. The beach is cleaner, water is clearer(you can actually see your feet) and it is not muddy as compared to the other parts of PD.

Food is no problem since there are several Seafood and Mamak restaurants next to Poly Mall.

So, the next time you decide on a short getaway, head on to Seri Bulan..
