It was a short one night stay. Breakfast was okay, although the choices are very little. Room was okay. Ours was fitted with a brand new aircon, so we can get comfy it no time. The weather in Port Dickson was scorching hot. So it was definitely a plus point. If you are an Aussie/Kiwi, this is the typical budget motel

*doesn't provide mineral water in the room.
*no hair dryer even called the reception and asked, they said they don't have hair dryer in their hotel...(speechless)
*only provided one roll of toilet paper, as we were stay in family room so i asked for another roll of toilet paper but they said the housekeepers have gone so they couldn't provide...
*called room service at about 11pm for supper but they said the chef has gone so they are no longer to prepare any meals...
*the bathroom and toilet are really small, all together not bigger than 5ft, can't imagine if the fatty above 80kg can enter to the bathroom...
*toilet can't flush water unless we lift off the toilet lid and press the flush button...
*the mattress of the bed is really old and uncomfortable, couldn't sleep well the whole night...
*the bed sheets are not big enough to cover the thick blankets and the mattresses, dirty mattress and thick blanket appeared and made me feel uncomfortable...
*RM270 per night for such this lousy hotel, i swear i won't stay in any branches of this hotel in the rest of my life!

We spent 2 nights in Seri Hotel for the weekend. It's an old hotel and a little run down but for 150RM per room plus breakfast it's a good deal.

We got a ground floor room which I think is best as its tiled instead of carpeted, which I think is cooler.

We booked a double room but were given 2 single beds but we didn't complain- actually I had a great night sleep not feeling my other half toss and turn!

Coincidentally we had a room far from the pool so it was nice and quiet, and we could park directly in front of our room.

If you're an Aussie we'd call this a motel.

Breakfast is basic but good enough, just toast, cereal, rice and curry (no eggs or anything fancy), wifi is free - a little slow but free. Pool is small, but the ocean is directly across the road.

Staff were friendly and let us check in a couple of hours early which was nice.

Mostly local people stay here, probably from other parts of Malaysia, and stared at us non stop while we were eating which was funny, so we thought our presence in the pool might make them feel uncomfortable so we didn't use it but like I said, the beach is across the road.

The last Saturday of each month the pasar malam pops up just walking distance to the left of the hotel.

We didn't try and food within the hotel other than the free breakfast because there's heaps of other great spots around and walking distance- Tinos Pizza, El Cactus and of course all the weird and wonderful homemade pasar malam goodies.

This hotel looks faded and rundown. The food at the restaurant is terrible and the cleanliness in this place is just so-so with minimal hotel service. Only good thing is that it is just opposite the beach.
