This place was amazing. Lovely and friendly staff and also very funny too!! Amazing rooms and restaurants and bars. Very good food for bfast and dinner. A bit noisy at night due to the city close by, but apart from that would highly recommend.
Stayed here as a part of a tour itinerary in Kenya. This was a lovely place to relax and wish I had longer there. The rooms were all detached with plenty of privacy. They were spacious , clean and well appointed. . The bathroom was also a good size with good hot shower. The grounds were lovely with plenty of outside seating and a sweet pool. It was not busy so had lovely surprise of being given lunch in pretty outside gazebo with waterfall. At supper tables were moved to more intimate reception area so not eating alone in big dining room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only negative - there is a tip box so individual waiter angling for a tip unfair to rest of team. Food was good and wholesome. Lovely stay.
The place is clean, cosy and charming. The tents are good and sufficiently done up for a stay. The staff are friendly and open in their conversations. The food is not excessive but simple and tasty. Overall we had a great experience and highly recommend it to those looking for their own privacy and comfortable space
The tents were luxurious and well appointed. We are vegtarians and found lot of options during each meal. The chef took great care of us and made indian food specially for us. That was extremely thoughtful and is highly appreciated. The disappointment was the staff/management. Throughout Kenya the norm is accomodation is provided even for the guides. However in this place our guide was flatly informed that no accomodation would be provided. He was willing to pay for it and still they did not accomodate him. The same was very disheartening. Guides are the backbones of Kenyan safaris and should be treated as partners providing business to hotels. If guide had initially informed us this is the case, we would have never chosen flamingo. Maybe the management should consider the possible loss or business and consider revising their policies.
I spent one night at Flamingo Hill in October 2018. The tents are a good size with great showers, staff was very friendly and food was good. Only downside is that there is a bit of a drive to get into the prime game viewing areas.
