The tents were luxurious and well appointed. We are vegtarians and found lot of options during each meal. The chef took great care of us and made indian food specially for us. That was extremely thoughtful and is highly appreciated. The disappointment was the staff/management. Throughout Kenya the norm is accomodation is provided even for the guides. However in this place our guide was flatly informed that no accomodation would be provided. He was willing to pay for it and still they did not accomodate him. The same was very disheartening. Guides are the backbones of Kenyan safaris and should be treated as partners providing business to hotels. If guide had initially informed us this is the case, we would have never chosen flamingo. Maybe the management should consider the possible loss or business and consider revising their policies. More
