The hidden Charm is positioned at the start of tam coc village, which means its a calm location. Its set back from the road so no traffic noise. Its 2minutes walk to a wide variety of shops, restaurants and the harbour.

The village is lovely, great for boat trips, visits to the caves and pagoda. You can easily pass a few days here to relax after hectic hustle and bustle of Hanoi.

We had 2 front facing rooms 810 and 811 with lovely views over the paddy fields and mountains.

I am a stickler for quality beds (if i stay away from home i need a good bed) and if you like Melia, Hilton or Sofitel the beds are of this standard with mattress toppers and high thread count cotton linen.
The furniture is of good quality and i really would say 5star standard rooms.

The spa we had numerous treatments and all was good. 1 time there was misunderstanding about treatment booked/given but a lovely manager An Nhien helped fix it with a nice mix of professionalism and some humour - she offered treatment for free. Which i didnt expect but was really lovely that she went above and beyond to make us happy.

It was my birthday and they surprised me with a beautiful cake and sang happy birthday in the restaurant.

The pool looks well maintained but we couldnt use it due to rain/wind like a monsoon.

The staff are what make this hotel most special and the owner should know i received the best English speaking service for this hotel (stayed 5 different 5star hotels in Vietnam) they should be proud of the team - they are worth their weight in gold.

One female manager - i dont know her name but i would like hotel director to identify and praise her, i know she only moved to this hotel 1 month before but i recall she said she learned English whilst working 12years in Metropole in Hanoi) her English was fabulous and she really went out her way to care for us on a few occaisions in the restaurant. She took time to explain about the climate, vegetation and region, she knew we had long taxi to HaLong bay and bought my family fruit as a parting gift. It was so kind and thoughtful of her also to have this lasting memory. What hotel has people like this??? I never experianced it anywhere in the world.

I will be sad to leave the hotel tomorrow as it feels relaxing like home, but i will return here if i visit Vietnam again.

Before doing in hotel business, we have been working as an exporter of bed linen, with our traditional buyers in UK, EU, US... Each bed of our hotel includes bed, mattress, protector layer, topper and bed linen. With love of bed linen, we use 100% cotton luxury satin T400-500 thread counts, decorated with traditional hand drawnthread pattern. You can buy some bed linen at the souvenir shop to bring home with very good price.

The village that you have visited near Tam Coc is of traditional hand embroidery/drawnthread work of Vietnam. The hotel lady owner is an artist in hand emrboidery and she has a great love for hand-work textile items. This place is her mother land. That's why she made these bed linen for her hotel, with hope to share her love for hand work textile to experienced understanding people who loves delicacy.

Thank you for using most beautiful words to say about our staff. In most cases, employees have some reflection of the boss. Our lady boss-owner is understanding, kind-hearted and has passion for improvement. Most of the time she lives in the hotel and tries to keep an eye on every corner so that she understands her employees and notices their effort. We will surely pass your words to our team and cheer them, as well as give them high marks.

ABOVE EXPECTATION

Great staying experience! Good hotel with good service and amazingly helpful Staff! Location is good with nearby restaurants and cafes! Local shopping! Great for photographers to capture the local lifestyle of Ninh Binh!

Breakfast is very good, serves different choices every morning- fresh and hot! The selection is bad is the coffee.

Services staff from the front to the back of the house is great! Smiles everywhere!

Room are sufficient big enough and maintain well except the bath tub height is high and need to be careful.

Safe deposit box are not permanently attached which can be remove at anytime!

I would highly recommend Ninh Binh Hidden Charm! Truly a hidden charm!

Room tip: Higher floor with Paddy fields view.

Amazing staff!

Off all the hotels we have visited in Vietnam, this hotel had the best service by far! We stayed in a family room with 2 adults and 3 kids. The room was really clean and spacious. The location of the hotel is fine. It takes about a 5 minute walk into tam coc. We had borrowed bikes via the hotel for one day to explore the surroundings. Nihm Binh area is really pretty. The best thing about the hotel was the super friendly staff. Especially ms. Trang and mr. Thu kept asking if there was anything they could do for us. They were also really friendly to our kids. Highly recommend this place!

Lovely hotel in a good location

We had a pleasant stay here - the staff were very accommodating and helped plan our daily activities and onward travel. We rented both bikes and motorbike from the hotel, both very reasonably priced. There is a restaurant on site but Tam Coc restaurants and bars are also within walking distance so there is plenty of choice. Breakfast buffet had a good range of western and local food, we left it a little late (9.15) on our last day and they had run out of a few things but were happy to refill when I asked. Unfortunately we didn’t have the chance to use the pool due to weather but it looked very inviting! We would happily stay here again and recommend to friends & family.

Above and Beyond....

My wife and I travel extensively around the world four months a year… We stay in numerous hotels, many of which are very good, some of which are poor. I rarely write reviews on trip advisor. However, simply due to the wonderful service and incredible hospitality that we received at Hidden Charm Hotel in Ninh Binh/Tam Coc, I feel almost obligated to write this. The manager, as well as the staff, went particularly above and beyond their duties. Even if they had not delivered a birthday cake to my wife at night in our room on her birthday (must have gotten that information from her passport!), I still would exult the service and hospitality shown here... as we found out around town, this hotel is known as the best in Ninh Binh.... something I certainly agree with…

Great hotel

Super nice impressive staffs and managers! Service is perfect! Good food and reasonable price. We had a great time in Ninh Binh Hidden charm Hotel.
Rooms are clean and specious.
