Checked in after cycling 80km in the Mekong Delta. Had a room with balcony facing the parking lot and we got the afternoon sun to dry our bike clothes. No noise from the parking lot. Great location for walking the promenade. Tucked in a private property at the end of the road so their isn't any traffic noise at all. Didn't have to deal with the staff because we didn't have any issues. The room was a good size. Didn't pay for wi-fi in the room. Breakfast offered a big variety including fruit - isn't it just terrible if you can't have a western breakfast in vietnam!! Stay at an international chain if you want that and pay 5 times more. We really enjoyed the hotel and I am going to rate the value neutral because I don't know what the cost was as the bike guide paid for the rooms.

Stayed one night in the Ninh Kieu 1 hotel on the riverfront. We had a riverfront room, very spacious bedroom, adequate bathroom. Must have been renovated in the last few years as seems pretty clean. Strange decorations on the ceiling that I first thought were water marks, but I think represents the delta rivers. Great view from the balcony over the river, but you need to turn off the air conditioning if you use it as hot air from the condensing unit blows over you. As previously mentioned, owned by the Army and it feels a bit that way. No in room safe, so I guess no one messes with the Army is the theory!
Late afternoon the promenade in front of the hotel is setup with tables for that afternoon sundowner.
Lots of package tours use this group of hotels, so could be a bit busy at times.

This is a dpressing hotel badly in need of a makeover. The Hotel had no ambience whatsoever. It was in a nice location on the river but the room we had had very small windows which did not allow an appreciation of the view and had no balcony. The beds were really hard even by Vietnam standards. The restaurant in this hotel was closed and we had to go to the restaurant in another hotel for breakfast. This was not really a problem, it was only a short walk, but the only western food they had for breakfast was baguettes and jam. I enjoyed many meals in Vietnam but hard to face local food for breakfast.

I think this hotel is owned by the Military.

The best thing I can say about this Hotel is that it is average, in pretty much all aspects. Although the bathroom area in our room was nicely appointed if a little small.

The Hotel was undergoing some exterior refurbishment (painting etc.) and the Restaurant in our building was closed for upgrading, we were ushered about 100 metres to the Restaurant in building 2 for our breakfast.

Breakfast was pretty poor. Poor selection, and service fairly ordinary.

Fortunately, we were only probably 500 metres from several good quality restaurants etc., for the evening meal.

If returning to Can Tho, I would try another Hotel.

This was the only hotel booked by our travel agent without my recommendation and it was not on par with the other hotels we had stayed in. Large hotel, good location in Can Tho within walking distance of restaurants etc. and fairly quiet area. The room was very spacious and clean but the hotel staff were not that friendly and it was the only hotel that charged for the internet. Probably good for tour groups but not individuals who like a personal touch.
