this hotel is in a beautiful setting and is a small, very friendly, relaxed hotel. yes, things went wrong with some of our rooms however the staff were very keen to help and to do all that they could to put things right. I have just read the review stating that this is the worst hotel in Thailand in 8 years and I think I was there at the same time as that person however I couldn't disagree more and the location is NOT miles away, it is on top of a hill with beautiful views. If you choose to walk into central Koh Tao, then it's a bit of a climb back as the hill is steep however taxis are easy to come by and it's a short taxi ride. The hotel also have a taxi service and were happy to take us down to Sairee beach. My advice? as long as you realise that this is a small hotel and you don't expect it to be a 5* hotel with 5* facilities then I would highly recommend it and I would go back there if I return to Koh Tao.

Room Tip: the sea view fantasy rooms are definitely the best, I'd recommend booking one of these if you ca...

YES! We are not on Sairee Beach. We are not by the beach - get away from it all and get a bit of exercise - that's the right attitude. Kidding aside, thank you for the nice words...

We stayed here for 4 nights, one less than what we booked. The venue is beautiful and unfortunately it rained whilst we were in Koh Tao, we had a room on the ground floor so the two didn't work too well. Due to the downpour our bathroom leaked and there was a horrible smell of damp in the room that we couldn't move. As the hotel was fully booked we couldn't move, though the manager was really helpful, apologetic and her english is great. I can't fault the hotel too much as it's so pretty, not far from the main strip and the views are great. Just make sure it's not raining!

Room Tip: Definitely get a room upstairs, i think there's only 2 but it's worth it for the view and th...

Glad you enjoyed your stay despite the rain problems. Unfortunately we've had a lot of rain late last year and beginning of this year and we just never had a chance to address the issues in one or two of the rooms.

On a positive note, the sun is shining again and everything will be fixed! Thank you for the kind words and your kind understanding!

I stayed at this hotel over New Years and when arrived at the hotel I was impressed by the location at the hotel itself. The main problem is that the service here is none existent. You can be sitting at the breakfast area with maybe another table no more than that and it will take them over 20 minutes just to get your order, good luck if you think you will get what you ordered, then another 20 minutes just for the food to turn up served of course by a member of staff that also is doing the maintenance around the hotel and as a result serving your food with dirty hands and clothes. It actually turned into a running joke between all the guest staying at the hotel. The food would turn up cold there was no one there that spoke english so made even asking for salt and pepper impossible as all you would get is ketchup brought to the table " 3 times". Tried to spend an afternoon at the hotel and have some cocktails but had to give up after asking someone to take our order and failing to get anyone for 15 minutes. Not sure where the people leaving positive feedbacks have stayed but doesn't sound like they stayed at the same hotel. Just don't spoil your holiday by staying here.

Thank you for the kind ratings apart from the service and value parts. Leading up to the peak season one of our most experienced staff was unfortunately involved in a fatal car crash coming back from Bangkok with one dead and another severely injured. Apart from the tragic outcome that also left us severely understaffed during one of our most busy periods and even our resident chef had to clean rooms and wear 3 - 4 different hats. We do apologize to all guests that felt inconvenienced by this - and the bad weather didn't help.

It goes to show that a resort cannot survive on location and beauty alone and we are always saddened to be faulted for our service.

I stayed at this stunning place in early December and have just gotten back home. This resort prompted me for the first time to make an effort to write aboutmy experience since they truly deserve the recognition!

The first thing I have to mention was the exquisite accommodation and the superb food that was served in the small restaurant. I met several other guests staying there as it is a very small and intimate place. Particularly the Thai cuisine was very very good!

My room was large and enjoyed an unbelievable view, although it had it's quirky style and could have had a it better space for clothe and luggage still it was very comfortable and unique.

The small pool overlooking the small bay or cove below was the favorite hangout especially during the sunset!

All in all it was a unique experience but perhaps not for someone wanting a traditional boring holiday experience. it should appeal more to the couple or honeymooners...

Room Tip: Moonlight suite was large and had a great and spacious balcony
