This is a lovely place if you want peace and quiet. It is a 25 minute longtail boat ride from the main ferry terminal, and is a series of bungalos along the beach. We stayed in some of the new ones which are a bit further from the main complex, but the area had its own lovely infinity pool. The food is quite expensive and I would suggest some of the local restaurants on the beach next to the hotel. The people there have been described a "gypsies" but that is because they call it the Gypsy Village. They are in fact the people who opperate the boats which are just about the only way of getting around. A tip - always go to them direct and negotiate. If you ask the hotel they will just get the same people and add a bit on for themselves. We were asked for 1,000bht for a 25 minute one way trip to the main "town". What we got was a four hour tour of the various islands and beaches, with swimming stops, for 1,300bht. There is also a decent dive centre but they only do local dives - they use the longtail boats for that, so they don't get to the more famous Shark Point and Ferry Wreck dive sites. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
