The room we stayed with my friend was very small and kind of uncomfortable, the only thing that separtes the beds from the bathroom is this sliding semi transparent glass door, and the floor in the bathroom is not adequate. When you get there don't expect to have a reception, it's the cashier from the restaurant the one that greets you, you access your room by crossing the restaurant from the side, also if you expect to go to sleep before 2 AM you will have to endure the music from the street. I would suggest to stay in this hotel for not more than one night.

We didn't expect a totally silent room but the noise in room wasn't background noise, we could hear the music from the bar oppposite as if we were in there having a boogey! We actually had to turn up the tv due to the noise!

The music stopped at 1 so we were able to sleep after that!

We stayed 2 nights but the second night we were "forced" to have a few sherbets and stay out late, the second nights sleep was fine, although my head in the morning wasn't!

I suppose if you intend to stay out past 1 every night then the hotel is ok, but you won't get an early night here!

The noise was a massive negative in our room, but as for the actual room I really liked the design as wasn't the usual style. But the room was very small for two to share!

The shower was pathetic, like being pissed on by an 80 year old with prostate problems!

We stayed on koh phi phi a 3rd night and stayed in hotel that was only 600 baht for a/c, it wasn't as pretty a room but much quieter!

Overall, I would give a miss unless you will be out late! Pity as the room is quite stylish.

We came to the island without hotel, so when we saw the free room at pirates, we booked it inmediatly. When we arrived, the room was really hot, and no so clean, but we told the staff, and went to have a tour of the island, and when we arrived everything was ok.

the staff is cool and friendlyl, they clean your clothes if you ask, and provide extra towels, the only bad thing is the toilet, with no aircon and no so clean...

really really good placement

We booked on Booking.com for 1800THB (about 60USD) per night. I realize that accommodation on Phi Phi is expensive (compared to the rest of Thailand) and is often substandard, but WOW. This was the worst place I've ever stayed in!

When we arrived, we were shown to our room, which was pretty basic... two twin mattresses on a concrete platform, t.v, minibar. The minibar didn't work... it was actually warmer than the rest of our room.

That night I saw the first cockroach- right outside our bedroom door. I also had a lovely experience when the sliding glass bathroom door came off the track and fell on my foot. I'm still recovering from that one!

The next afternoon, we saw the second cockroach- in the bathroom. Just as we found it, the manager came knocking on our door, asking for payment (our credit card wasn't actually charged on Booking.com, like we thought it had been). At that time, we asked him to fix the bathroom door (which wasn't attached at all at this time), and the minibar. We also asked for some cockroach spray. He was pretty nice about it.

We paid for all 5 nights and left our key downstairs so the problems could be fixed. When we got back, the door was (kind of) fixed, and the minibar wasn't. Our room also hadn't been cleaned.

The next day, we gave the place the nickname "The Roach Motel." They just kept appearing! Within an hour, 5 more were in the bathroom. Not to mention, our room (and ourselves) absolutely reeked like roach spray. We went downstairs to let them know that we'd stay there that night, and then we'd need a refund for the next 3, as we'd be finding other accommodation. At this time, we were moved to a new room.

The new room was much better- to the left of the restaurant (the other one had been to the right). It felt more like a hotel, as opposed to a cheap hostel! The wifi doesn't reach this room, and the minibar didn't work in it, either, but we were happy to be free of roaches. 7 in 20 hours is a little excessive.

However, we went the entire rest of our stay without having our room cleaned once- despite asking multiple times, and being politely told that all we needed to do was leave our key at the desk, and it would be done (which we did, several times!). We needed to ask for things like fresh towels and toilet paper.

In general, the staff were pretty nice... but really, you're either running a hotel, or you're not! There aren't very many rooms... cleaning them shouldn't be a difficult thing to manage.

If you're going for the party, it's a great location- right in the middle of all the action. If you're not going for the party, then stay elsewhere- it's loud until at least 2am. (And, we discovered that there's some nasty drilling downstairs which begins at 9 or 10am, so your sleeping window is pretty limited!)

I was highly disappointed with this place. I don't recommend at ALL.
