We stayed at Villa Retreat for three days between 23 Feb and 26 Feb 2024. This our second time to the resort and definitely not the last.
Location: The resort is located right next to Cokker’s walk close to many eateries and shops. The bus stand is not far away too.
Ambience: We stayed at the room facing brilliant views of Perumal Malai. It was comfortable and perfect for our family of four. The staff were quick to address any issues we had and provided us with extra bedding to accommodate all of us.
Food: The resort has an excellent breakfast spread with a wide range of selections ranging from Indian to continental. The food gets a 10/10 from me and my 6-year-old who devoured the pancake and pasta. They also have kid friendly meals that are half in quantity and price too.
More than all of this, I love the staff working at the resort. Everyone from the receptionist to the resort manager were so kind and treated us with a smile always. None of our requests were met with a frown on their faces and it takes a special bunch to always put the customer first. Overall, if you are looking for a resort with good food, best ambience and great staff to support you, do not hesitate to stay at Villa Retreat.

This is a beautiful hotel that is a serene escape from the bustle of the town. Located conveniently to the bazar and Kodaikanal International School with stunning views from the garden down the mountain to the plains. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The entire staff was so kind and helpful making sure all needs were met.
It does not provide WIFI anywhere except for the lobby. It is nice to “unplug” but a little inconvenient when trying to keep in touch with people.

room fits only 2 adults.extra person very difficult.had a good balcony view of perumal malai .wifi & room heater not available in the room.complimentary breakfast was ala carte with limited choices.they take orders & serve seperately .food for lunch&dinner were very costly& no south indian dishes available to choose.
